A couple of years ago, I bought some fab STEM kits from a subscription company. They were previous kits and you didn’t need to subscribe to buy them. I am trying to find the link for you…
plus I’d forgotten about them and they’d be perfect for a couple of nephews that I need to buy for.

found it! They are slightly out of your price range though. The sets were all on sale when I bought them previously.

Engineering & Art Kits for Teens & Adults | KiwiCo

KiwiCo engineering & art kits are perfect for teens and adults who want to work on complex projects that are cool and useful, like a desk lamp or even a ukulele!

It wasn't but this looks great as well so i will add that as well thank you!

If you need another suggestion my son is obsessed with a book called a day in the life of a poo, a gnu and you. It's a fact book about loads of different subjects written in a humorous cartoon strip format.

I can't get the code TOWEL60 to work on Ulster Weavers. What are the restrictions on the offer? I had reduced price tea towels in my basket...

Well now I’m absolutely ragin!!! DH messaged friend to check about lock picking set (didn’t want to buy it in case parents disapproved) and turns out his son already has one 😫Apparently he got one for his birthday a couple of months ago and it went down a treat. Glad it was a good idea, but gutted I can’t use it and so now we’re back to square one.

Aw, so close!

unicornwonders · 10/11/2023 17:56

@Theraffarian I tried to join up but didn’t say or give any credit, am i doing it wrong?

PopcornAndGummyBears · 10/11/2023 17:56

@Waterlemon I thought it might have been KiwiCo and had already looked there and seen some good ideas but which were unfortunately all out of price range. I can concur however that they are a great company.

I think it was meant to just work on full price teatowels?

I bought the otter oodie from the Amazon company and the pockets are normal. Labels are cut off but it looks genuine. Slight smell but will easily wash off.

Sainsburys have the mint chocolate orange for £1.75 nectar price. It's in the Christmas aisle in my local store.

bizzey · 10/11/2023 18:17

@Hickry did you notice postage dates ?

Wonder why it is only Tom Baker and Matt Smith ?

David Tennent was our favourite!

Same! I would have definitely bought that - umhing and ahing about Eleven Pudsey!

Famousthehero · 10/11/2023 18:34

@PopcornAndGummyBears if they are into the lock pick set they have, I just saw on Reddit (stolen screenshot hope that’s not out of order) that somebody made a Russian doll type thing out of locked boxes. Appreciate it’s a lot of faff and you’d probably rather just buy something. Would probs eat up your budget too, but if not you could put some sweets or something in every ‘layer’

bizzey · 10/11/2023 18:41

Noooooo !

AHH well , I always try and buy CIN stuff if I am in Sainsbury's, but not able to get out this year .

At least I can watch the program now and not feel guilty,as I have bought / contributed !

Famousthehero · 10/11/2023 18:44

Actually thinking about my suggestion of the nesting boxes, you could just use cardboard boxes with the locks wrapped around them - sure they’d prefer the locks to practise with rather than a load of big boxes @PopcornAndGummyBears , then you could put maybe a treat in each box too

PopcornAndGummyBears · 10/11/2023 18:45

Thank you @Famousthehero that’s a great idea. Will definitely keep it in mind if I can’t come up with anything else

frecklejuice · 10/11/2023 18:49

Finally getting involved in these posts, I'm really late starting my shopping this year!

DS15 has an old Echo Dot in his room that he uses for music (with Spotify) but it's old and he was complaining earlier than the sound is awful (it really is)! Can anyone confirm which are the best ones for music sound? Also happy for other ideas of things he can play music through. It can't be anything his phone attaches to as that has to be attached to his hand at all times!

Blessedbethefruitz · 10/11/2023 18:49

I'm feeling immense regret that my kids stockings are norma size, like 8 v small gifts max, with all the bargains and ideas on here. But I don't like the idea of sacks!
