Starting this in Reastie’s absence. Hope that’s ok.

Thanks @MerylSqueak . I don’t have a Goldsmiths within 100 miles unfortunately. £45 for hoops is still a good price though so thank you!

Threeboysadogandacat · 03/11/2023 09:49

Can anyone remember what the deals were with mountain warehouse. I’m packaging up my parcel for New Zealand and have just enough space for two of the little wind up torches. If I’m paying to send it I might as well use all the space!

PurpleSkittle · 03/11/2023 09:56

@Muggcake you probably know this already, but with weighted blankets you need to look for the correct weight of blanket for the weight of the person you're buying for. It's something like the blanket should be no more than 20% of the person's body weight (I can't actually remember what the % is, but you can google it). I didn't know this when I first bought one for DS and it was way too heavy....

PurpleSkittle · 03/11/2023 10:00

@Muggcake I've just looked it up and it's 10% of body weight.

Hi,

My sister is looking for some better quality gold hoop earrings for Christmas. The ones she has are cheap and turn green after a while. Can you get gold earrings for under £60?

Last year on these threads there were loads of great discount codes for https://www.jewellerybox.co.uk/ so might be worth looking around

jewellerybox | Recycled, Affordable Gold & Silver Jewellery

Independent jewellery shop selling fine jewellery at costume prices. Thousands of pieces in stock. Recyclable, sustainable packaging.

Morning all, Brand Alley have an extra 20% off today on selected sale items. The code is BAPARTY.
I don’t suppose any one knows of or has a code for Nike that would work on sale items?

WidowedMum · 03/11/2023 10:21

The Works have got 25% off children’s books, including the box sets, 10 for £10 bundles and book advent calendars.

@Viveeepip you can get gold plated Stirling silver earrings from gemporia (the website for Gems TV) for £15 https://www.gemporia.com/en-gb/product/molte-mini-horseshoe-hoops-earrings-in-gold-plated-sterling-silver/ljbm28/ they also have some lovely ones with gemstones on under your budget.

Or TJC has some solid gold ones for £59.99 https://www.tjc.co.uk/earrings/9k-yellow-gold-hoop-earrings-7533833.html#start=1

My mum has a lot of jewellery from the jewelry from the jewellery channel and gemstv so I can vouch for both of those sites!

thanks @Fuckingfuckssake - I’ve had my eye on that for my girls but wasn’t sure it was worth the money, so at £6 each fab deal for a ‘filler’ present.

Delahot · 03/11/2023 13:06

Anyone any ideas/seen any bargains for good cracker fillings for teens please? Thought maybe a scratch card but wanted a novelty or something funny or useful.

Are Echo Pops the new Echo Dots?

There's a ridiculous sounding question 😂
