Starting this in Reastie’s absence. Hope that’s ok.

Beauty advent calendars for early teen girls?
Thinking of getting my dd one as she would be over the moon. Also, not sure what to get as a main present so thinking she might appreciate a bit more on an advent calendar and a smaller main gift.

Up to now I've done £2.50 Cadbury jobbies!

Which is the best value? She's not got brand loyalty yet. I've seen the £49 Sephora one. Can we improve on that?

What trainers are popular among teen girls and are there any deals to be had? DD (16) has worn Stan Smiths for years - she is quite petite and has narrow feet so anything too clumpy or clunky just either looks ridiculous on her, or slips at the heels. She has orthotics too which don’t help either. She could really do with some new shoes though - obviously wears school shoes while there and wouldn’t choose to wear sporty trainers, so need something else for casual wear. Really don’t want to spend more than £50 though. Other DC wear Vans/Nikes/DMs none of which fit DD1 well so I’m stumped. Bonus points if it’s from somewhere which will take returns after Christmas even if bought now. (Because it’s never a given that shoes will fit her)

Have you looked at new balance? There's so many styles are very popular! Or these adidas are becoming more popular and not chunky at all, nice small fit adidashttps://m.jdsports.co.uk/product/white-adidas-originals-samba-og/1226592/?cmmmc=googleshoppgooglele--shopping---pla&istCompanyId=9c5cf6f7-3142-4f9f-be57-2fce9c67adfd&istFeedId=014e8b49-620d-4e56-9e87-79529c403af2&istItemId=wmialimll&istBid=t&gbraid=0AAAAADqUegfcH11bkZeU3M6vk53To41IS&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4vKpBhCZARIsAOKHoWQTFgyu6OHdelEu4xPxgMIW4M4uyY2Dsfcuk-LZmFiIn8GZe0bLcgaAsDGEALww_wcB

Mornin Temu has deals on the bum bum cream for the PP’s thread title winner if you are okay with shopping from there

I’ve just returned from holiday and, having had barely had any Wi-Fi signal whilst away, see I’ve missed an entire thread!!

Gutted to see I missed the White Fox discount as a hoodie is on DD’s Xmas list so keeping fingers crossed for a good Black Friday discount.

Off to read the rest of the last thread…

White Fox have had two 30% off flash sales since the original one, I feel there is a very good chance of the same discounts or higher coming up again, but I expect it will be a case of stock availability. I actually haven't recieved my order from the first time they did the 30% off. It hasn't even left Australia yet it seems, so I wouldn't leave it too close to Christmas to order if it's something you really want.

Squ1ggle · 28/10/2023 08:44

I have an Argos £6 off £60 spend if anyone can make use of it? Expires midnight on 31st

It's for Newlook :)

PLouise seems very popular with that age group. They have an amzing big advent for £210 which looks very impressive, but they also do a smaller version for £65 which is also very impressive looking. I'm not sure if they do further discounts when they are released but this is what I would choose if money allowed https://plouise.co.uk/products/pre-order-the-wonderful-world-of-plouise-mini-advent-calendar

Any tips on getting this to work?

Ahh. Sorry I was meant to be replaying to the Morrisons voucher!

The bridal beauty co has been mentioned on here a few times and I’ve always been happy with what I’ve received. They have just released their Ultimate Charity Beauty Box which is priced at £150, but apparently had over £900 worth of products.

“PLUS each bag is guaranteed to come with a luxury skincare advent calendar worth a total of £220, a Cochine Diffuser worth £60 & an Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm.”

i’m looking for a discount on jellycat toys if anyone has any suggestions I’d be grateful!

I bought from here last year as they often come up cheaper than most places. Dd wants the frog.

I think there’s a 20% off if you sign up to the newsletter on white fox
JESSIETT gets 15% off
not sure if they stack x

Thank you, I’ve just tried it and it doesn’t stack but 20% still makes it much more palatable than paying full price!

@psuedocream3 thank you - I think I’ll give it a week or so to see if another 30% deal comes up and, if not, order it with the 20%.

No idea on popularity but my dd2 who has fairly narrow feet really likes skechers. Bonus is I can chuck them in the washing machine and they come out like new.

Or are converse still popular? I have quite narrow feet and wear them (well primark cheapies!) Dd1 who's 15 wears converse style trainers, hers are supernatural themed from EMP, she wears goth style clothing.

I'm quietly tempted by this as been impressed with some of their bags in the past but has anyone had one of their advent calendars before? Just a bit worried that it's going to be filled with the never ending collagen and bamboo wipes!

psuedocream3 · 28/10/2023 09:10

@PopcornAndGummyBears Nike seems to be the go to brand currently. Nike Panda Dunks seems to be very popular with the trainer obsessed girls.

Do you have alcohol in your cart? It won't count alcohol toward the minimum 40 spend.

BeastOfBODMAS · 28/10/2023 08:25

The Morrisons code is working for me, just opened an account in DH name and made an order for the same click & collect slot as mine. Big shop done

How does the Morrisons deal work? Does it have to be a new account and click and collect?

dancemom · 28/10/2023 09:17

I had to return the White Fox hoodie I ordered because it was too big ( I ordered M/L for it to be oversized but I'd say M/L is 14/16)

I returned it 2 weeks ago but it's still not been received and they don't do refunds, only store credit so I can't even reorder until they get it 🙄

Magik01 · 28/10/2023 09:19

@qate Im tempted too but the thought of spending £150 on items that I don’t know what they will be gives me the sweats 🤣

GreyerbytheDay · 28/10/2023 07:42

No longer working for me

Worked for me this morning, have you selected click and collect?

STom2 · 28/10/2023 09:16

No doesn't have to be a new account but has to be click and collect. Also doesn't work on alcohol.

BeastOfBODMAS · 28/10/2023 09:22

@STom2 i have done it with both a new account and an old account not used for a couple of years, for click and collect.
Alcohol doesn’t count towards the total and it warns you there’s not enough allowable products when you try and enter the voucher

Lloyds have a 10% Morrisons online cash back just come up, too.
