We had one of these when DS was little and it lasted about 3 years. We paid less than this - from Aldi and they had them again last year:

@Realfastfoodie I've got a 20% off spend over £50 at Lakeland if you want to try it? PM if you do

napsarelifewithtwo · 18/10/2023 21:45

@bizzey I have never used their beard stuff but gruum do really good shampoo etc and they have a beard range. I've bought some to gift this Christmas as I've liked the shampoo etc so much for myself but like I say no actual experience with the beard things yet.

Any recommendations for beard oil or balm please .

Not sure if balm us less messy than oil.

Not quite sure what I am looking for .
Short beard.

Look at the Jarrolds website. Lots of different beard stuff. My husband bought the shaving gel from Scottish Fine soaps. The thistle and black pepper smells lovely. Not too expensive either.

I’m after any recommendations for a Christmas book with lovely illustrations and story? It’s for my mum as she loves the books but never buys them for herself, thank you so much for any recommendations☺️xx love this thread!

InDreamland · 18/10/2023 22:01

Sorry if already mentioned, you can get 25% off Fortnums collection wines when buying 6 or more bottles at Fortnum and Mason. Stocked up but suspect they'll all be consumed by Christmas 🍷 🥂

Realfastfoodie · 18/10/2023 22:14

Thank you so much @Cantthinkofadifferentname. @InDreamland - that stacking hamper offer sounds really good - please can you point me in the right direction? Thank you!

InDreamland · 18/10/2023 22:23

@Realfastfoodie you'll also need a voucher code for the 20% off hampers as well as the 20% off one @Cantthinkofadifferentname kindly offered. I got mine both through with the most recent mailing from Lakeland in the little booklet. No idea if everyone who gets the booklet with vouchers gets the same types of vouchers. Hopefully someone will be along soon who is happy to share theirs with you x

I don't know about the illustrations but I've always quite fancied collections/books these.

Went real life shopping today and found some Roald Dahl colour illustrated deals. WHSmith had a hardback of 4 stories for £9 and TKMaxx had The Witches paperback for £6.

Realfastfoodie · 18/10/2023 22:32

Thanks @InDreamland. If anyone has a hamper code… I’m interested!

PlanBea · 18/10/2023 22:37

Thanks for all the pirate suggestions. I've ordered the toot toot one from Argos (after a minor panic as there wasn't one near me, it's had to be ordered to MILs local!) but I might swap to happyland one when I mull over it a bit longer. I'm loving @Callmesleepy 's chocolate coin treasure chest idea too!

I strongly considered the cardboard boat, but thought that would be up in my living room till he inevitably ripped it 😂 I'm not even sure where this pirate love has come from, I'm just hoping it's still here in December!

bizzey · 18/10/2023 22:41

Thanks @napsarelifewithtwo and
@stepfordwifey I will check them out .

sellote · 18/10/2023 23:29

For any Rainbow High fans, the rainbow high pool is currently the cheapest I’ve seen it anywhere on Amazon. £49.95 but with a 40% off voucher, taking it to under £30.

Athlebad · 19/10/2023 00:29

Anyone else got a code for money off at Argos that they don't need that they'd be willing to share with me? I've got an £80 purchase to make. 🤞🙏

Please direct message me with the code as I won't have chance to use it until about lunchtime and it's likely to be used by someone else before then if it's posted on this group...

Short beard.

I bought DH the Paul Mitchell beard oil earlier this year, he likes that. Prices vary widely but it was the 30ml one and it lasts for ages - he has a short beard too.

It's called "MVRCK by Mitch". Shop around obviously, but I see someone is selling one for £8 & £3 P&P on eBay. I can't link, sorry, because I can't be arsed signing out of my eBay account!
