Christmas isn't Christmas without ........

..... today I bought the three things without which, to me anyway, Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas -

A copy of The Radio Times, some fresh walnuts and several bags of those chocolate coins in foil. Small things, but I just can't do Christmas without them.

Anyone else got any small, but essential Christmas "must haves"?

After eights. Don't even like them that much.

Buck’s Fizz for breakfast Christmas morning. Would never drink at breakfast any other day of the year or have bucks fizz either, but it’s Christmas so why not?

OrigamiOwls · 16/12/2022 20:44

Chocolate covered Brazil nuts.

Bread sauce with the turkey and copious bottles of champagne. Oh and my annual toblerone

Christmas music. Listening to gorgeous carols on my headphones right now while dh watches tv, and have Magic fm on most of the time in December who go 100% Christmas cheesy music. Sick of it by New Years but love it in the run up.

Quality Street - rarely eat chocolate but have a constantly topped up tin of QS in the house in December.

The outside lights all over our neighbourhood bring me joy.

A bowl of cloved oranges on our kitchen table that I do every year.

Watching Love Actually.

Agree with @Plump82 , Boursin is a must!

Other than that, wine, pate, continental meats, goats cheese and baileys. Pregnant this year so none of the above is allowed 🙃

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 16/12/2022 21:05

An entire bag of cashew nuts just for me.

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 16/12/2022 21:07

Sprouts and pigs in blankets. We never have them at any other time of the year and really wouldn’t like to do Christmas without them.
