Luxury biscuits

My DP is a biscuit fan, big time. Loves a shortbread, even a bourbon. I've got most of his Christmas presents sorted but I'd like to get him some really special biscuits. Can anyone recommend somewhere that does really good biscuits? I'm more of a crisp kinda woman so biscuits are not my forte!

Yes, The Kitsch Hen. She does lovely tasty biscuits with a message stamped on into the icing. She’s on Instagram and I can post her website address if you’re interested (otherwise I don’t want to be accused of spamming).

Last orders is Monday.

I really rate the Lidl biscuits (red box) at Christmas
morning the Tesco extra chocolatey box

both very reasonable price

@Correlation @RethinkingLife thank you - browsing F&M now! Thank you for posting the link to the other thread too, I didn't even think to search!

@RutlandVasey they're lovely, but I'm looking for something a bit more bingeworthy than a specially decorated biscuit, thank you though!

Biscuiteers do some lovely Christmas tins. They’re nice biscuits too.

I see that they do refill boxes but the tins for the [X]lossus biscuits are exquisite (I'm smitten by both the cherry and ginger tins).

I'm a big biscuit fan and while F&M, Bettys et al are all fab, I'd love it if someone left me a huge box of broken biscuits under the tree. There's something great about peeling back the cardboard and seeing what that weeks breakages were 😂

Bogglebrain · 10/12/2022 21:44

I’m a huge biscuit person, literally could live off them. I love M&S ones, pistachio & almond, the chocolate shortcake ones - basically I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.

Controversially, I don’t think icing has any place on biscuits.

AriettyHomily · 10/12/2022 22:26

F&M, it's tradition that I get my my mum mini mince pies and a tin of biscuits as I work opposite.

WaitWhatOh · 10/12/2022 23:28

the biscuit baron... and his many flavours of world wide biscuits!

plus their cheese biscuits are amazing. Great slightly warmed.

Fox's.

They make the biscuits for M and S.

I'm slightly biased as a relative worked for them and when we went to visit there was always a big bag of broken biscuits.

You can get them in most supermarkets but you might have to get a tin for them, unless you are in Yorkshire, then you can go to the factory shop.

Our go to is always m&s

Williams Handbaked biscuits are a nice Biscuit company (also do thick slavs of shortbread and mixed cakes). Lots of flavours of biscuits, my husband loves them as an extra gift as there a 'proper biscuit but that bit more fancy to gift. You can shop online or many farm shops/Booths sell them across Lancashire.

Caspianberg · 11/12/2022 05:45

F and m

The ginger ones or chocolate and macadamia nut

Undertheoldlindentree · 11/12/2022 06:28

Just spent a fantasy half hour on the Fortnum and Mason site. If he's a dunker I'd go plain rather than chocolate. For a DP/DH it has to be a tin of Lucifer biscuits! If I was choosing for myself, I'd go for the County tin - just proper old-style flavours.

Something like Chamonix Orange? They're French covered in an orange glaze.
