Where on earth can I get Prime drink at?

My 13 year old hasn't really asked for anything much for Christmas but he wrote a letter to keep his little sister happy. He puts clothes, headphones and some sort of Prime energy drink him and has mates are all mad for. He's not allowed energy drinks and he knows this but I thought I'd buy him one bottle just for fun, and to keep the magic alive for the little one (she would know that I would NEVER buy him that so it keeps Santa alive). However the only place I can get the stuff at is Amazon at 28.99 a bottle!!!!! What is this stuff and why is it so popular? And where can it be bought at a normal price?

Anyone in/near Bradford...The small Asda at Wyke often has it in the morning, but blue flavour only. I've had lots of success there. If anyone is local enough to collect it from me, I'm happy to keep an eye out over coming days?

The website never has any stock and some Asda employees grab a load and take it to share with their mates on the till. Could only be one each and they are all desperate to get hold of it too

Definitely not bollcoks! Confirmed to me by several employees of an Asda superstore close to me also

@BertaHoon in my local Asda it's kept in a pile by the security man by the doors when you come into the store!

Why is it nonsense? It's something her child would like for Christmas, just like thousands of other kids in the country. What a bizarre thing to say. Bet Christmas is full of laughs at your house....

For all those disparaging the youth of today, do you remember Beaujolais nouveau? I was living in the Midlands at the time and it was such a point of pride the city had some off the first ferry driven up from France and only an hour and a half later than London!

It is thank you! I’m quite happy to buy into a trend, I did Moshi Monsters, loom bands, Minecraft, fidget spinners, but this stuff is actively harmful, marketed at children and kept scarce to hype the price. That is nonsense, don’t support it!

Wow you sound fun.. it's a £2 bottle of juice that's popular and he will be delighted to receive!! It's not the worst thing I could buy him I don't think!

Saw some in Asda on Saturday night was close to the security guard on the way in/out. There was quite a lot so don’t know if they’d just had a delivery.

Had no idea what it was until recently.

I don’t get the angst it’s 1.60 off for a can of monster in Asda. This is 2 quid. Some folks are giving it dont buy it. It’s just a bottle of pop.

I keep trying to find some and failing, cant get early in the morning either. May have to resort to ebay at this rate! He is 10 and has asked santa for a bottle as he knows its not easy to find so feel like if i got a bottle it would keep the magic alive abit.

Like you my son has put these on his Christmas list as we hadn't been able to find any.
Speak to the people stacking the shelves, I've found them very helpful at giving the best day/time to find them. I was told my best chance is to get there for opening Monday morning, as the shelves get stocked after the shop closes Sunday.
I'm never ready early enough for Monday opening so just kept popping in whenever I passed & have managed to get a red bottle & red/blue/white striped bottle.

Also apparently there's an app available on iPhone called prime tracker for under £1, that gives up to date stock info. Unfortunately I don't have an iPhone!!

It’s a good lesson to you teach kids about hype marketing. It’s a perfectly average sugary energy drink. Don’t perpetuate it’s importance
