Hi, my 6 year old has this at the top of the list.
I need to get her main present but she already has bike, scooter, tablet so abit stuck for a main gift but dont want to spend 170 pounds on one, which is how much it is and that is down from 250.

Ive seen the camper, which is 70. Wondering if this would be a disappointment? Or if anyone else has an idea of another make thats similar but less than £100?

Or any other ideas welcome

My DD is only 4 and wanted one too. I just couldn’t spend that much for a huge house when she has other large things taking up space. Maybe in a couple of years she can have one when her younger toys have gone. For now, I got her the Disney Princess castle reduced to £99 from £150. Bargain.

Im sure I had one as a kid, I agree with knowing what she actually wants/likes matters... like I didnt actually care about 'barbie' at all and didnt play with them but I did love playing 'house'.

The thing I remember most from mine was the tv, it lit up.

Barbie stuff is also largely indestructible we have a lot of it and not broken even with heavy use, in comparison we have a very broken wooden dollhouse that didn’t withstand the same use at all

I suppose thats right too... we have an old barbie car at grandmas house that has survived 3 generations over 40+ years.

We have bought it for my 5yr old this year. I've dreaded the year she asked for it but knew it wld come eventually. I'm just glad that it's at a really good price this year. For some reason they haven't released a new one for 2022.

She actually said to me the other day mummy I'd be happy with any Barbie house so long as it has a pool. I've saw this one online which is very similar at studio for £80.

DD used to have this as her Barbie house, it had the wow factor as was massive and was played with daily for about 3 years.

By some massive stroke of luck somebody was giving it away on marketplace with all the furniture for £15, that was a good day!

That's brilliant I love a second hand bargain, they're often like new too!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 22/11/2022 08:25

Dd found a brilliant one on FB marketplace or somewhere a few years ago. It came with a load of Barbies and their horses and God knows what else - all for £100. Son in law did have to drive quite a way to fetch it, but a major bargain.

Gdd was 4 IIRC, and was over the moon with it.

Thanks for the advice off to google the malibu one.

If I could say confidently she would play with everyday I would maybe stretch but I really dont know if she would.

Same with my 6yr old.
She has the Malibu house, the camper and the aeroplane and she loves them all, though the plane is a bit heavy for her to hold for too long so short flights only Grin she's getting the wedding set and the camping set for Christmas
Yes the dreamhouse is huge! her friend has one.

Brighteyedtriangle · 25/11/2022 14:05

Thanks so much for the replies.
Still confused though. I think im going to go for the town house which is 100 at the range or the campervan.
I dont think ive room for the dreamhouse even if money wasnt an issue

It is massive but like others say, my DD plays with it every single day! She is 8 and absolutely loves it. Her friends all enjoy coming round to play with it. When we have a busy weekend she gets cross because she hasn't had enough time to play with it! She'll love whatever you get though!

This looks good.
Only found 2 reviews which weren't very helpful about whether it's worth it or not

Unsure whether to get the studio one or the actual one now
