I have massive regret I didn’t order a Corgi oodie before they went out of stock. If anyone ordered one and doesn’t want it, I’d happily buy it from you if you can post to Leeds.

They did say they were getting another shipment but not sure what is in it. They had to refund my blue otter which I'm gutted about as it went missing, they couldn't track where it had gone. They did say they can send me a tie dye one or wait for the next shipment but I only want what I ordered.

hattie43 · 01/12/2022 14:08

Thankyou very much . I ordered a lilac tie dye and it's gorgeous so just ordered the blue .

What brand is this one?

I am trying to source some at a good price now that it's summer here (I'm thinking they will make nice Christmas gifts) , but it's difficult to know which is which from the pictures. The cheaper sites here don't say the brand either. There seems to be an influx of Huggly but a lot of reviews I have seen people are saying that they are fakes. And some places are rebranding with their own logos on 🙈

I just reread the previous posts. The tie dye seems to be the Huggle. It looks completely different to the Huggles here (well the pics anyway as I hvent seen them irl). So I think maybe ours aren't the originals after all.

The price seems right at around 12 pounds converted.

I bought the DC some other ones on BF, thinking I'd bought a locally made brand. After receiving them I checked the tag.... Made in China. But with this company logo inside too. After a bit more of a search, I found them on Ali Express! I will keep them as the Christmas gifts as planned, but will keep looking for one for me and my nephews.

I like supporting local so I was a bit annoyed.

hattie43 · 01/12/2022 18:38

I think the brands are different tbh my lilac tie dye is Kuddly but the next one I bought was huggie and not so thick . I'm not sure what the blue tie dye is so will have to take a chance .

Those who had a smelly one, what's the best way to machine wash it?

I want to start wearing mine but it stinks.

Am I best to do a rinse first then a wash?
Or a 30 or 40 degree wash with extra detergent?

Rinse with just softener?

I have no idea, there are no labels in it either.

Thank you.

InfinityOrUndefined · 05/12/2022 14:10

I have been very happy with my upside down koala one and dd likes her otter. I would order third one if they get more stock.

Wash at 40° with no softener (it won't get rid of the smell only mask it). Hanging outside will also help it air out.

My latest one is Huggie. Nice but not thick and warm imo . I won't buy more now .

Onceuponatimeinalandfaraway · 09/12/2022 21:13

There’s some hooded blankets in stock tonight

Blackmetalmama · 09/12/2022 22:30

Has anybody ordered the kids versions?

Starburst8 · 10/12/2022 07:42

That gingerbread one is a Primark design.
I'm hoping they'll get some more otters in since Oodie is getting a new batch of them in stock.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 10/12/2022 10:36

I've taken a chance on the kids hoodie with the design that looks like Miffy. I like the dinosaur one but they didn't have the small size left. No idea where they're from - did a quick google and couldn't see them on any sites.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 10/12/2022 20:05

I think they've had some from typo in the past

I was in Typo today and they had a few in (think for Christmas gift ideas as it's summer here) and while I was looking at them I wondered if these were Oodies branded for Typo/Cotton On group. Both companies are Australian, so I thought maybe it could be. And then I saw your post....

Unless they make Oodies in the UK as well now.

We don't get Oodies so I didn't have anything to compared them with.

They are lovely though, but very pricey.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 11/12/2022 18:19

Loads of kids hoodies on now. Wish I hadn't ordered yesterday as I'd have ordered a couple of the new styles too. I'm not willing to pay again for postage though.

Gingerbreadmama · 12/12/2022 00:34

Hey everyone, I need to stalk the website so I can get my adult family oodie 😂. Is there a list of which designs have been oodie? Do they use the same photos? Can't afford to get it wrong really, that's why I'm hoping to get some background info haha!!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 12/12/2022 05:30

@Gingerbreadmama It seems to be down to luck. There were some such as the panda one that most seemed to have got an oodie but there were definitely other people who got thinner copies.

Be aware that they are seconds and have various things wrong with them. I got a corgi one that I had to sew in 3 places, still has a slightly dirty smell I can't get rid of and has a glue patch on it that I can't remove. Other people have reported them being short at the back or smelling really bad.

The tie dye ones that keep coming back in stock are definitely not oodies. Apparently the gingerbread one is primark and i don't think most of the plain ones have been oodies either from what people have reported.

The otter/cat seems to be most consistently the real deal. Avocado was pretty consistent too I think. I really wanted the cats but missed out and I think they were real (but pattern upside down).

Oh the smell sounds bad!!
I'd never be able to afford to buy them legit, so upside down patterns etc is completely fine with me. Has anyone returned any because of them being really faulty? I knew they were seconds but it doesn't state that on the listings, so wonder where you stand with that! Obviously I don't want one like a crop top 😂

Not sure if I'm much help, but just incase the 2nds are being shipped in from elsewhere...

The Typo ones mentioned upthread seem to be cream with a heart on the front, and a orange care bear design.

Wrt the Huggle. There are so many fakes around here, they have even copied the outer packaging but taken the Ontel label off. So even at the reduced price its not worth it as you can find these at some of the budget shops for less that this site price.

Re the glue patch.....

It sounds ridiculous but have you tried peanut butter? Not the crunchy one though, the smooth version.

Wakk · 12/12/2022 08:57

They make it very hard to return. I would only buy if you don't mind just keeping what's sent.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 12/12/2022 09:22

@isthismylifenow I haven't heard that trick before. Unfortunately I have a nut allergy so we don't buy it 😄.

@Gingerbreadmama I did get a small discount when I contacted them about the glue issue (in my rush to be annoyed about it I didn't check it over fully before contacting so hadn't noticed the holes in it) which almost covered the postage cost. They hinted the returns would be a pain in the arse but at the time PayPal were doing free returns so I'd have tried that if it had been a worse issue. Now they don't do it anymore I'd be more wary. The shipping costs are quite high and go up if you buy other items. I bought a few random bits for my toddler and it bumped the shipping to £6.

carkerpartridge · 12/12/2022 09:35

There are lots of children's hoodies on the site today, no idea what brands they are.

Gingerbreadmama They seem to use their own photos so it's all guesswork as to the brand. I bought the koala which does to seem to be a real Oodie. I checked the Oodie website before I bought to check the design which seemed to be the same (apart from it being upside down on the hoodie that I received!)
