Thread 9 - the one with stocking fingers

@6poundshower thanks for the title. A stocking finger sounds far too small to fit many bargains in though! 🤣

Apologies for belatedly setting this up - was at a primary tour for potential school for ds and then working. Pesky RL! Hope you can all find me.

I'm looking for a refurbished phone. DS2 lost his on holiday recently, but I'm still paying it monthly🙈. It was a Google phone, so that would be good, but I'd consider others (he had Samsung last time).

Anyone use reputable suppliers? Thanks.

I used back market earlier on this year and can’t fault them.

ReindeerPoop · 05/11/2022 09:06

Oooh yay it’s Christmas! I’m very late to the thread party this year but lovely to see you are all 3 threads deep already!

Im looking for a home magazine subscription, any thoughts on 1) the best magazine and 2) any that are offering good freebies?

Thanks 🎄

Nine threads even!

Bargain Max has 20% off Our Generation with code OG20.

MerylSqueak · 05/11/2022 09:10

XLS20 gives 20% off at Wooolovers.

Soscrewed · 05/11/2022 09:25

@Neednewfloor I think the tesco toy sale is over which means it'd the perfect time to go as they have reduced qll the things from the sale. I've just sent DH to look for a lego technic crane which is 50% off, but I've seen loads of posts elsewhere about great bargain hauls. Worth a look, but may be selling out by now so don't travel too far out your way.

tabbycat985 · 05/11/2022 09:39

Oh @MerylSqueak I read that as Woolworths😭 Lovely Christmas memories of that shop!

Secret Sales have a massive sale on, including some Disney Pandora, that I know someone was looking for

I've also had an email from Craft Gin Club offering an extra bottle of 70cl gin if I rejoin with the code RS-FREE-NOVWITB

@HoneyPea wow well done on your links! I still can't get the hang of it. Obviously need to practise more lol

My 12 y old niece wants a denim jacket. Anyone know any good kids wear offers?

I'd be careful with buying clothes from the children's section once they get to secondary school age. This tends to be the age where they suddenly get into fashion.

I have a 12yo DD in Year 8 and she wears an adult 4 or 6. She's about 5' 4". Fashion at the moment is oversized so a bit baggy is a good thing. Her favourite places to buy clothes are ASOS, Pull & Bear, Urban Outfitters and (I hate to say because their ethical and eco credentials are awful) Shein. H&M are also good.

Depending on your budget I would either look for a sale offer at one of the more fashionable high street shops or, if you're on a very tight budget, look a dupe for a more expensive one on Shein (there is usually a 15-20% off discount around).

And me! Was going to say exactly the same. The phone I bought was immaculate.

impossiblerequest · 05/11/2022 10:00

This zoobles dance studio set is down to £3.60 from £19.99 on Amazon. No idea if they’re any good. They look like the cute version of Bakugan, opening up on a magnetic tile.

Thank you that was me looking for pandora disney. Be VERY careful on that site. The Piglet that I'm looking for is showing as on 'sale' for £89.99. On pandora direct its £55!!!!

Fuckingfuckssake · 05/11/2022 10:11

Could anyone please remind me of the hot chocolate shaker please?

Trialsandtulips · 05/11/2022 10:12

Has anyone had an M&S sparks offer come through for a generic 15% off? I need to get some seasonal homeware bits as I'm hosting this year but for weeks all I've had is a £1 off the odd food item and a free bag of peas!

It was the chocolate society! here

BloodyMabel · 05/11/2022 10:24

@dizzygirl1 there are a lot of Disney Pandora dupes on Ali express if that’s any help.

Soscrewed · 05/11/2022 10:32

So DH just managed to get me 2 lego technic cranes from a tesco near us for £17.50 half price. Quite a bit of reduced stuff still on the shelf so definitely worth the trip. The 'sale' stuff is an OK price- compare prices to argos and amazon before you buy, but the real bargains are the "reduced to clear" items.

FluffyFluffMonster · 05/11/2022 10:32

Have ordered a zoobles thank you pp

Piccalino3 · 05/11/2022 10:46

Does anyone know of a discount code for the Disney Store please? I have a basket that's waiting to be checked out...

selina25 · 05/11/2022 10:55

hi looking for recommendations for a slow cooker recipe book, for a lovely experienced cook who lives alone. So something that isnt family focussed, thanks

PlainJaneSuperBrain99 · 05/11/2022 11:04

Thanks @Mammillaria 😊

nickdrakeslovechild · 05/11/2022 11:04
