Turtle doves fingerless glove seconds swap thread

As per the Christmas thread with the bath humbug: If anyone wants to swap their random colours of turtle doves fingerless gloves from the seconds shop on eBay please post here what you have and what you'd like to swap for. I think this is allowed...if not then fair enough.

I have a green pair and a black/navy blue and white striped pair for swapping and might be tempted to swap my dove grey ones.

Hi there. I ordered two pairs from eBay yesterday and they arrived this morning! One red and one light grey. Neither have a strike through on the turtle doves label and I can’t see any faults on grey pair and only a very slight fault on the red pair (I don’t think I’d have even noticed it if I’d bought them full price - but it’s to the right of the star in the photo). I’m not too unhappy with the grey, but I’m really looking for more pastel colours - pinks, lilac, cream… I think the grey may be a small fitting (although I can get it on ok) but the red seems standard. Anyone want to swap?

I'm really surprised by how tiny the faults are on this and other threads.

Mine came this morning (ordered almost a week ago). They have a huge hole in them, almost as large as the thumb hole. They're a beautiful teal colour though. I think I'll try stitching first and if that doesn't work I'll try customising them.

@Telbee I have a cream pair I probably won't wear if you're interested. I'd much prefer red. I can pop pictures up on Fri (I'm away until then). I don't think there was anything more than a very tiny mark on them.

I have a couple more on the way and am hoping for brights or brown/greens - not pastel!

I got 2 pairs yesterday a grey which I'm keeping and a very pale blue which I'd love to swap for a bolder colour or a stripe. No defects I can see, although I think they might be slim/narrow possibly.
Slightly more blue and less grey than pic.

Question about the star stickers - do turtledoves send them with the star sticker to show where the fault is?

I assume so. I struggled to see the faults in some of them to be honest!

Mine arrived today - two slim pairs (black and black with a white stripe at the wrist) which I’ll save for the kids and a navy which I’ve given to sceptical DH for when we’re both wfh and I refuse to put the heating on. One tiny hole in the navy pair but both slim pairs look flawless

I have a camel coloured pair, no fault stickers and label unmarked. I'd like to swap for a medium or dark blue, green or purple if anyone is interested.

What are they made from @fruitpastille? I can't see the fabric details on the site (on my phone).

It's pleated fleece fabric. Cosy and washes well.

Jumping on. I received a lovely blue pair and a cream pair today. Both with a star sticker but I can't see a fault. How do you know if they're slim or not?

I've just ordered a few as stocking gifts for DM, DD and (STB) DIL. DS would love them too so fingers crossed for a large size. Although, then I would be a pair short. I'm quite excited!

If anyone gets a pair with a big hole/fault like @PissedOffNeighbour22, I bought some some felted cashmere patches (hearts/flowers/stars/spots) for visible mending from ebay for a few £ that look pretty cute.

Sorry @AxolotlEars pink is one colour I just don't wear and can't think of anyone I'd gift too. Hope you find a swap though
