The pizza is for tonight though as ds has football. Plus it's not just a one off, she has the worst packed lunch ever. I'm going to take over packed lunches from next week as it's just not working dh doing it.

It's cold over night here too, had to scrape the car this morning 🥶

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 17/03/2022 09:43

I could really do with a mini-heatwave on Mon and Tues...no heating and the door open all day will turn my normally warm nose blue!
We've had more 🦔💩 yesterday - he's been a busy lad, it's all over the lawn🤣

NoWordForFluffy · 17/03/2022 10:02

Maybe it's more than one hedgehog! 🦔 🦔 🦔

I have no idea what's in our kids' lunchboxes. Blush Not my job at all... 🤣

Just had our council tax bill. It's gone up £5 to £164.00 a month. Could be worse.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 17/03/2022 12:49

We've had ours too. 197 a month. 🤯

WreckTangled · 17/03/2022 13:21

Spoke to the sendco and she's going to look into referrring to CAMHS and OT and has given me some resources to look through and consider.

Oh and I found the biggest tick ever last night just lolling around on ds' bed. So gross. Like a little alien, had obviously eaten so much it just fell off WreckCat 🤮

NoWordForFluffy · 17/03/2022 14:14

Did the SENCo give any idea what could be the issue? Our initial SENCo visit was basically, yes, sounds like somethings going on, so let's investigate. Then nothing happened! Hopefully you have a better result.

How much was it last year, Puss, that's a dear do?!

WreckTangled · 17/03/2022 14:47

She queried attachment disorder, although I'm not sure where that would come from, and said there's clearly a deep seated anxiety there. She said she thinks he quite immature which I hadn't considered but then he's my youngest and I'm quite happy with that Grin she said she wouldn't automatically think autism and then we just discussed the different things we had observed, she said he has no issues with friendships and everyone likes him Smile which is nice. It's parents evening next week too so can talk to the class teacher again then as well. I think she'd also observed him in class this week as she said she'd noticed he didn't hold his pencil properly.

CrazyBaubles · 17/03/2022 15:00

Wreck I always find it strange that the best way to get a referral in a lot of cases is via the school but that's where a lot of kids mask or put on their best behaviour so they don't see the full picture (dsis has been told niece is quiet, well behaved, keen to learn, good to listen etc in nursery. At home she has a bell on every tooth, listens 50% of the time and is a bit feral 😂).

How much of the cross stitch did you do before realising Fluffy? I hope it wasn't too much.

Lovely blue sky and a crisp 12° here today. I've been looking at it while considering throwing my lap top into the garden - I collected a new one this morning and have spent hours trying to get it up and running and my patience is gone!

nerosnewfiddle · 17/03/2022 15:36

Happy St Patrick's Day all!

9° but washing out on the line.

We went out for lunch because dc eat for free today. They got a full 3 courses.

Morning!

Happy belated St Patrick's Day, Neros. Our kids love a 3 course meal! 🤣

Crazy, I didn't do huge amounts. It's really annoying though...what on Earth went through my head?! Angry Confused

It's going to be nice and sunny today. Our lemon tree will be happy. It's been neglected over winter and we lost some lemons. Hopefully we get more to replace them though.

I'm going to sow a load of seeds this weekend. After cleaning the greenhouse. It's time to get going!

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/03/2022 06:41

Morning. I am up ridiculously early and I am going to find some food and put a load of washing in before trying to nap for a bit.

WreckTangled · 18/03/2022 08:35

Someone on my road was washing their car earlier Confused crazy. If I was retired I wouldn't even be dressed yet.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/03/2022 15:37

Hello , catching up with y'all.

We've booked a Christmas trip (Christmas Market ) for December , very pleased , something ticked on The List .

NoWordForFluffy · 18/03/2022 18:40

Where are you off to, 70?

We are constantly doing washing here...never ending! 🙄

I couldn't be arsed to wash the car that early. Or at all, really. That's not my job!

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 18/03/2022 19:01

I once spent about 4 hrs washing a car...inside and out and scrubbing the wheel arches/under the "wings" then polishing under the bonnet t'was spotless even though it was knackered Grin I need to get a toothbrush on the grille of the polo it's turning green soon...there's nothing more satisfying than the smell of turtle wax that and petrol Blush

NoWordForFluffy · 18/03/2022 19:14

I could smell creosote (fake, no doubt!) the other day. That's one of the best smells!

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 18/03/2022 19:32

fluffy don't remind me - bloody NDN to NDN creosoted his fence last summer...I can still smell the bastarding thing now when the sun's out! it stinks, and it lingers 🤢

WreckTangled · 18/03/2022 19:33

Eugh that's horrendous. Reminds me of my childhood, my dad was always creosoting fences 🤮

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/03/2022 19:35

Bath Christmas Market Fluffy ( hoping it'll run this year ) the photos look nice . Not sure what I'll buy though but it'll be nice wandering round , pretending to be in a Christmas Cheesey Hallmark Movie Xmas Grin

Best smell (even better than creosote'n'petrol) was an impregnated wadding for cleaning metals , blue tin or red tin depending on if it was brass/bronze or chrome .
Off to search up the name , I;m thinking Duraglit but not sure ,,

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 18/03/2022 20:18

70 Duraglit and Silverglit - Brasso is a pale imitation (it was in the garage, but everything has been shifted due to new boiler on Mon/Tues) almost as good as liquid paper (black label)

CrazyBaubles · 18/03/2022 20:58

Belated Happy St Patrick's Day! I always get it muddled and think it's today.

Fluffy does your lemon tree attract any bugs? I want one for the conservatory and figure it'll maybe help keep bugs away as generally they don't like citrus?

puss I never clean my car Blush I leave it until it's dirty enough to annoy DH and he either does it or takes it to a place he likes.

I've always wanted to go to Bath Christmas market, it's only an hour away from me. Maybe I'll see you there!

I love the smell of mastic. My dad always used loads of it when I was a kid, his trousers were always covered in it and it makes me all nostalgic.

Very sunny here and is supposed to be the same all weekend 🤞🏼 Planning to clear my wash basket (1 load) and change the bedding - it'll be the first time I've used the washing line this year.
Also planning to pop to town and pick up some pots so I can repot my Christmas trees, maybe some seeds, Mother's Day cards and a few random bits (including an online clothes order as I've bought myself clothes for the first time in forever). Exciting stuff!

CrazyBaubles · 18/03/2022 21:12

Ooh also, I attempted purl stitches yesterday. It was so hard!

This is as far as I got (pic). I've unravelled it all now so I'm attempting to do one row of knit and one of purl just to practise some more.

Any opinions from knitters on if this is actually helpful?

Morning!

I was relatively sensible last night and went to bed as soon as I started to feel stupidly tired. Sometimes I end up asleep on the sofa as I can't move. 🤣🤣

I think I'm going to sort the greenhouse and sow some seeds today. I'm a bit later than usual, but they'll catch up. They always do!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/03/2022 17:31

I was counting how long it was since Christmas 2021 (had to use my fingers to count , mental arithmetic at 6am not my strong point Xmas Blush anyway 12 weeks )

Bought a couple of Easter eggs for DS and DD ( small ones ) I;ll buy their big ones later , usually the £7-10 ones , not too wild .
Also bought an Easter Wreath , no Easter Tree again ( cats , they don't approve of my frivoloity ) but they cannot get their paws on the wreath .

Very excited to have a load of washing out ( I know , so easily pleased eh? )

By next week we'll be into the 270s and another Rudolph Day .

NoWordForFluffy · 19/03/2022 17:59

It's been such a lovely day here today. I've actually been quite productive, as I walked to Sainsbury's first thing, plus popped into Boots and M&S as well.

I then cleaned inside the greenhouse to get rid of the green muck which accumulates on the plastic windows. I have also sown my first seeds. I've got 30 broad bean and 75 peas sown, plus a pot of leeks.

I've then also been to Aldi to get bits I didn't know we needed when I was in town, and then met up with DH and the kids in the park for a bit.

It's been a weird clothing day, as despite being sunny, there's one heck of a stiff breeze to bring the temp down. Lovely when it dropped, mind you.

I need to put some fleece over the ground tomorrow at the allotment, to help it warm up for my parsnips. They're so bloody fussy! 🙄 They did bog all last year, so hoping for better luck this year.

70, I got our dairy free eggs the other week as I had a 10% off code with Moo Free. I got the kids one of the bigger eggs each, for a change. Hopefully they'll like them.
