My butcher has let me down with a game pie so we may have to make do with MILs butcher's small ham and chicken ones instead - and that's not even guaranteed.

I’ve ran out of wrapping paper with 2 presents to go. I returned to the shop I bought it from and they don’t have any left, only a similar one. I obviously can’t buy the similar one, nor can I unwrap all the gifts I’ve already wrapped and use the new one on all of them.
I’ve had to buy 2 gift bags now and they don’t match the paper as much as I would’ve liked.

DH has decided to take a last minute day off and now wants to take me shopping for my gift - in a pack town centre that and it’s pouring with rain. I’ve said no and he’s now sulking in bed - I wanted to strip the beds and can’t do that now! So annoying.

I also have a DH (and teen DD) who will raid the Xmas treats if they see them. Teen DD will even raid the wardrobe I store extras in so I can't put them there. So now I have 1 nice pack of crisps that I like, and a few regular packs that are fine but not naice and 2 of the 3 are flavours I don't like (roast turkey, and chilli). As I said, DH is being sent to shops later....

I can’t find the cheddar with red wine and caramelised onion I love in any of our local aldis. It’s a Cheshire cheese company one/copy and they can’t deliver until after Christmas but it’s in my head now

Fortnums and Mason cancelled my Christmas cake yesterday on the day it was to be delivered!

@EddieVeddersfoxymop I would also suggest spinach- if you have some of the frozen stuff, it's already wilted/shredded and goes well in soup, just drop a block or two in (well, according to how big a batch your making, obviously)

Went to the supermarket at 7am this morning to do the huge Christmas shop and forgot the parsnips!!

Usually I forget to cook them but this year I've excelled myself and forgotten to even buy them.

Being VERY nice to DP right now in the hope that he'll offer to go back and get them

Also have UTI which antibiotics haven't worked for. Praying the new ones that I'm on my way to pick up will kick in before tomorrow.

We just got our Christmas food shop in so the house is full of snacks but there's nothing to eat TODAY

I feel your pain lol.

I've lost the dustpan so I have piles of dirt all around the house and I'm thinking of leaving them there (first day off in a week and I felt proud I'd swept in the first place!)

Local distillery have delivered 3 whisky christmas crackers rather than the 5 ordered.

They are express delivering the missing 2 but we're going away for Christmas so may not get them in time.

I angsted about this for around 5 minutes and then remembered that actually, DM & I aren't exactly that fussed about whisky so we're hardly going to be crying into our trifle if we end up having to drink something else after Christmas Dinner instead.

I haven’t been able to find lebkuchen anywhere (damn you lidl and Aldi! ) and the gold cutlery I have ordered for my Christmas table is languishing within the labyrinth that is Royal Mail….

I bought some gifts from Selfridges online. They were delivered on time, hooray. Then a week later I got an email from Selfridges saying my order had been cancelled as it was out of stock and I was getting a refund. I got a full refund of £120. Selfridges won't believe me that I already have the gifts. And the money isn't even mine, it was a class collection for teachers.

Also I said I'd host a playdate today and I really don't mind, the children are lovely, but DH and I opened the Christmas wine last night and I am a tad delicate today and the delightful children are quite noisy

I ordered this for ds5. He has suspected ADHD and loves nothing more than body slamming pillows, blankets, and big teddies of an evening to get his sensory fill. What actually tuned up is a 20cm stuffed dinosaur because I'm too stupid to read product descriptions.

Our annual bribe Christmas gift of appreciation for past business hamper from Fortnum and Mason has gone missing in transit.
If it doesn't arrive by tomorrow we'll have to have the Aldi champagne with the smoked salmon on Christmas morning.

DH won't stop obsessively cleaning around me, ready for xmas despite the fact I am still trying to work.

He is doing a good job though

He has the week off and SHOULD be entertaining the children but is just making them more worked up, unstimulated and grumpy while I have a giant deadline and I am worrying about the kids

On reflection, I am not sure I have any. We are not cleaning because we CBA. Still not sure what we are eating on The Day, probably an Indian. I only buy gifts for my nieces and nephews and they all want money now so that’s easy. No idea what my partner is doing re his family, that’s his issue. Chilling with a Buck’s Fizz …

I ordered a tiramichoux dessert from sainsburys, a tiramisu/profiterole hybrid and they subbed it for a winter crumble. Also the giant yule log I ordered has a bb date of today.

The food shop definitely we'd ordered was cancelled 30 minutes after it was supposed to have been delivered, no reason given.

that happened to me yesterday! i called ocado , and they managed to get the blasted driver back with my full shop 2 hours late

I can't find my loaf tin in order to press my homemade ham hock terrine for Christmas morning. Now I shall have to make it in something else.

I have a sneaking suspicion it's nestled in that space between the kitchen cupboard and the wall... of my old house.

Asda substituted 12 items including the fabled chocolate squirty cream!

Me, DH & DD2 braved Tesco yesterday. We managed to find everything except spray cream (which DD1 had wanted for hot chocolate). The only other thing I have to go back out for is chocolate for me as DH got some for himself & the kids but forgot me....sigh.

Present wise, we are still waiting for a book coming for DD2 through Waterstones. We've been waiting over a month, but there's a stock delay with the publisher so not their fault. We did have an Amazon parcel that was missing an item and Hermes lost another Amazon parcel but we got refunds for those and I bought the items elsewhere.

I had 4 things left to get on the food shop. Took hubby in with me so of course it turned into a £60 haul 😫

My fridge has just broken.....
