Title because the last one’s nearly used up and I haven’t got time to do my usual picking of a title, sorry.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here to use for if you’re posting your personal referral link to others.

Vodafone codes thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Can anyone recommend some candles (not Yankee) that look nice but don’t break the budget? My two oldest girls would love the bath and body works candles from next, but I’m not wanting to spend £50 on 2 candles!!

Also, if there’s any recommendations for cheap gifts for a 19yof? She’s getting money for driving lessons, and I’ve got her jammies, perfume and a make up wand thing but they’re tiny and could do with making it look a little more.

I’ve got a 20% matalan code if anyone could use it but it ends today

@Froppysue What about a candle-making kit? They might get more use (and fun) out of making the candles themselves, rather than spending a lot on fancy expensive candles.

Has anyone seen any bargain fireman Sam toys? Almost finished now but dc3 is asking Santa for them!

Thanks @Froppysue and @VikingNorthUtsire I think that's actually a perfect solution!

@IsThisIt2021 Amazon and Argos have them I think. Don't often seem to see them in the shops.

I've just bought my niece a notebook from Papier after seeing the recommendations here. Would be a super nice gift for a 19 year old. They are stylish but also very cool, and can be personalised with their name.

If you go to the referrals thread and use someone's link, you can get £15 credit. The book I bought ended up being around £5 including delivery, or the hardback ones are around £10.

@anotherchocolate thank you, the eldest has a candle making kit actually thinking about it but my middle dd is so bad at crafts it’s laughable (sorry dd Grin) she wants more of a pretty candle to sit in her room, it’s all about the aesthetic apparently Xmas Hmm

@SlurpleThePurple perfect I’ll have a wee look on the referral thread thank you.

@Froppysue I’ve got a teen dd who’s all about aesthetics, for her birthday she requested a particular Dior book. Have a look at TK Maxx for candles they have loads in my local store.

@FilthyforFirth probably not what you’re looking for but I bought my dbro some lightsaber chopsticks last year which are awesome!
Failing that, there’s lots on Amazon with really good reviews.. bamboo, stainless steel, fibreglass etc.

@ncsmummy thank you, do you have any recommendations? I bought some body/bubble candles for there but couldn’t see any jar ones, maybe I wasn’t looking right

Highly rate the TKMaxx DW candles, much nicer than Yankee.

Has anyone seen any funky/colourful/bright ladies slippers around? They're for my quirky SIL in her 30s.

@Froppysue If you do end up caving and getting a Bath & Bodyworks candle can I recommend the Black Cherry Merlot? It is the most beautiful scent and has a nice throw even when not lit.

FilthyforFirth we have some of these chopsticks which are brilliant for beginners. These are on Ebay but I bought ours in The Range for about £1.50 a pair.

@Froppysue Home Bargains has Bath & Body Works style candles for £2.49, they have gingerbread, candy cane and marshmallow scent, this is a photo I took from eBay( listed for £9.99 🤔) as the one dd2 got for dd1 is already wrapped.

I didn’t end up buying anything yet so I can’t really comment on which are best. I found a few by searching jar candle but I don’t know if there’s any that will be the right style. I’m really sorry I am not more help

@MulticolourTriangles thanks, I’d love the dw home ones but not near a tkmaxx (or homesense) sadly!

@risefromyourgrave oh don’t tempt me more….. that was the one I liked the look of for me, maybe I’ll put it on my Xmas list and make the girls jealous Xmas Grin

@CamdenLurker oh that would be actually perfect! £2.49?? I’ll message my sister and friends to check home bargains, thank you.

Zavvi have Star Wars stuff reduced today

Boots has a No7 Ultimate Skincare Collection for half price @ £40, apparently worth £100+

I have to say that although Hotel Chocolat weren't as cheap as last year, their customer service and speedy delivery has somewhat made up for it - my order has been delivered within days although some of it may not now make it to Christmas Blush - much better than the company who are making tat artwork out of the DC's pictures and taking weeks to do it whilst charging an absolute fortune

If you want posh chopsticks you could get the sets of matching chopsticks and spoon (used in Korea I think). They're often engraved and look nicer than wooden ones.
