Title because the last one’s nearly used up and I haven’t got time to do my usual picking of a title, sorry.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I finally got 20% off clothes in the M&S calendar!

I worried about things going out of stock, so had placed a big full-price order (PJs, jumpers etc), but have now reordered with the discount and will send the original back.

Hi hi. Thanks for the Fred. Tomorrow I'm going to a new Lidl and am v excited. Sad yes. I have various requests from colleagues mainly the gingerbread houses and camembert tear and share fings.

Any other recommendations appreciated. Middle aisle, boozy, treaty, presenty, indulgently or just yum

@WeAreTheWeirdosMister

Has anyone seen a cardboard play house at a great price? I think my 6yo would love

The Hobbycraft ones are good if you have any in stock locally as they are mostly sold out online www.hobbycraft.co.uk/kids/kids-playhouses?filter=Product+Type~Kids+Colouring+Kits/

Smiggle advent calendar is reduced to £10 just now - might be useful to empty into stockings?

I have a fluffy one from dunhelm on now and it’s the best! Thick but not too awkward, very warm and cosy!

Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions! I left buying DD8s present too long and now can't find it - anyone know where to look for an tech kiddiconcert (and does anyone have one, and is it any good?)

Report
livingthegoodlife · 08/12/2021 20:56

My DD has the kiddiconcert. It's great. Disco ball is v popular. She mostly uses the pre set music but occasionally I'll connect the Bluetooth speaker & have a disco.

My DD got it at 7 but still likes it now at 9.

@Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting do you have the lidl app? A pp said they are also doing an advent calendar like m&s, with the benefit of no Gary Barlow!

Thank you @livingthegoodlife - I'm so glad it's been a hit with your dd - she's only just turned out ams has some delays so I think it would be spot on for her..... but the only one left on aegis is black which I know she'll hate - it was everywhere I looked a few days ago and now nowhere! 🤦‍♀️ I usually try and avoid ebay but that might be my only option.

@Someaddedsugar ooh I didn’t think of B&M. Damn I was in the Durham one last week but of course he didn’t ask for it then Hmm

Thanks @thaegumathteth Amazon don’t have the spray one and Argos are asking for £30 for it. One of the drawbacks of this thread is I dislike not getting something on a deal! Blush

@Merrya

Can anyone recommend some decent LED strip lights for DC bedroom that can be controlled by Alexa? Thanks

Both my ds and dd have govee ones which have been great (going strong a couple of years now) and work with Alexa

@yougotafriendinme that was me for the XL men's grey/crimbo tree pjs! Still no joy, so that would be fab.

To be fair, I have realised I can give 4 to the kids and I might pass mine on to a friend as would seem a bit too mean to only have husband not matching.

This might be a silly question but anyone who has a digital photo frame - can you only use photos of that orientation? Eg if it is landscape frame and you send a portrait photo to it do they tend to make it smaller to view upright (like a laptop does) or does it put it the photo on its side? Thanks for any insight..!

Recommending a Biko wizardry themed chemistry set DSis has bought for DS. The cauldron lights up, swirls around the liquids by itself, and makes mist! It was ordered it from Studio (delivered wrapped in clingfilm and a piece of card, though) and it looks brilliant for young ones. I’ve seen videos on Instagram & YouTube, and will have to resist taking over when DS uses it.
