TK Maxx had the ice cream car and bath a few weeks ago but haven't seen them in our one recently. We bought ours off Facebook marketplace and it looked practically new, if you can get away with that. I don't think they're ever reduced generally; I'd been waiting for the Smyths discount this year to buy one.

To the person who inquired about yoyo (apology, I cannot remember the name) - we’ve gone through many yoyos in our time and I found the best one was a light up yoyo from Science Museum. Sturdy and heavier than usual supermarket yoyos but really good (we still have it after so many years). I’m sure similar can be found if not on Science Museum website then online.

I have an urgent question regarding light boxes mentioned on previous threads. Can anyone explain please - are they just for copying drawings? ( isn’t it cheating?☺️) If so, you need to upload images first, right? How do people use it?
I’m sorry, there are so many things I am discovering on these threads that exist and are entirely new to me that I truly feel a dinosaur here.

Box dd has is just that , a light box. No uploading of pictures you just place one picture on top and then your paper on top of that snd the light shines through so you can see iyswim?

Am I right in assuming light boxes aren't bright enough for you to see through watercolour paper? So you would be able to trace a reference image onto paper to then transfer onto the watercolour paper, but you wouldn't be able to trace straight onto the thicker paper?

Am I right in assuming light boxes aren't bright enough for you to see through watercolour paper? So you would be able to trace a reference image onto paper to then transfer onto the watercolour paper, but you wouldn't be able to trace straight onto the thicker paper?

They are bright enough to transfer onto watercolour paper or cardstock (eg. for home made greetings cards) - that is what I use mine for. I've even transferred onto thicker 'canvas' sheets with no problem. You may need your initial sketch to be reasonably dark.
