Thanks @Carrie76 for the title. Just for everyone’s info - the chat was about tablet size 😁

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@Thisisbatshit my daughter is 13, she loves art. I've bought her scrawl boxes scrawlrbox.uk/ you can buy previous boxes for about £18.

Tombero · 02/12/2021 11:37

This isn’t a discount, in fact it’s £300 a ticket, but Red Bull have just announced the dates and opened bookings for their factory tours next year. Just in case anyone else is like me and has an F1 obsessed DH.

Carrie76 · 02/12/2021 11:42

I have a favour to ask please. DS’s stocking has torn and I’ve told him he can pick a replacement one. He wants a Crystal Palace one but delivery to Ireland is £14! I’ve told him no but thought it would be great if he woke up on Christmas morning and Santa and left him one! Would anyone be willing to let me get one posted to them and then send it on to me (I’ll obviously cover costs).

@OneMorePieceofCheese

Can we set up a support group for those of us who are feeling stalked by Gary Barlow?

He's like a needy ex who won't take no for an answer.

I too have been Barlowed. I find his candy cane very alarming.

I've got full blown loon needy exes (think writing poetry and climbing in through windows to deliver it with a goth black teardrop drawn on his face) who aren't as needy as Gary. He could climb in through my window waggling M&S jam donuts at me (not a euphemism) and I'd still refuse on principle to listen to him. I did do a head swivel about 10 years ago when they all reappeared as grown up men with wrinkles and stubble but not to this degree.
SapereAude · 02/12/2021 11:52

Is the candy cane a euphemism? I closed the window too quickly to see Grin

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 02/12/2021 11:55

FOR ANYONE WANTING SQUISHMALLOWS

If you PM me and I can send you a link to the guy on FB who's selling many. He has Christmas, Halloween, cinnamon rolls, loads!

He's probably wanting more money than they were in the shops but I guess it depends how desperate you are Smile

He says he'll post on the ad, don't really like lining his pockets but I know what it's like to want to keep the kids happy

lolarabbit · 02/12/2021 12:09

I have a single use Lakeland voucher for 20% off £50+ if it's of any use to anyone Xmas Smile

Newforestdonkey · 02/12/2021 12:09

I have no idea what that is but I can definitely pop to the post office for you. If you want to pm me we can sort it out.

MyPatronusIsAPenguin · 02/12/2021 12:10

M&S recommending Gary's CD as a stocking filler. Don't want him in my stocking or anywhere else thanks!!

I need to pick your collective brains again please 😁

Does anyone have any ideas for a gift for a late 60s single man (my uncle) costing up to £20-25 please? I've already bought a few things but have some budget left to spend.

His hobby is photography but that's expensive and he has everything he wants/needs. In case it helps anyone else, so far I've bought him:
Indoor planters x2
Fossil wallet
Travel wallet (for passport/documents etc)
Galaxy orange chocolate
Gloves
Scarf
Smellies set
Wooden IQ puzzle (brainteaser type thing)

Thanks hive mind of mumsnet! Xmas Smile

@Thisisbatshit

Bloody Gary. For weeks now I've gad that discount code in my sparks. Clearly no one is using it so now they are trying to give them away in a raffle. Even then no one wants them. Just give me a sodding 15% off clothes please M and S. What are they going to try and have us "win" next. FFS.

Any ideas for my loveky DNeice. She is having a tough time having just started High school with loads of bullying, no friends and now she is school refusing. She is in to art (and would like alcohol brush pens but they are waaaaaay over budget). Looking to spend about £20. Got her sisters things they could use as a family (3 kids). I'm stuck for her. What are your 12 year old children wanting? Thanks as always for the ideas.

A light box is a great option for art lovers. My DD has the Hobbycraft one for £25 but there are cheaper options on Amazon from £10ish although not sure of the quality. Link to DDs

@Gardenworm

The problem with the chat chat is it really just causes people to chat...probably best to avoid starting the chat chat if you don't like the chat? Merry Chatmas!
Love this 😂
herecomesthsun · 02/12/2021 12:45

I guess now it's time for us to fess up, I feel it's time
Got a picture of you on my laptop
Got your ticket offer still on M & S account, yeah

We think you're probably a nice guy
We don't want to see you live

Gonna leave it, gonna leave it all behind now
Whatever we said, whatever we did
We really mean it

We don't want to see your show
We don't want we don't want
We don't want to see your show

Gilead · 02/12/2021 12:47

Lellyo · 02/12/2021 12:54

Just back from a trip to M & S and the Percy Pig tin is down to £8.00 so with 20% discount makes it £6.40 , if any ones considering it

To be honest, you probably won't save much/ anything. I send parcels to family in Ireland a lot and the postage costs are very high at the moment. It cost me £10 to send some chocolate a few weeks ago.

@CapBarnacles

My Rapesco has arrived! An absolute unit. Fantastic recommendation, thank you!
Isn't it fab!!!!can't believe I've been wrapping for so many years without one!

Love your username by the way!

Itsfreetobekind · 02/12/2021 13:21

Hi everyone, does anyone have any codes for Baker Ross? Thank you.
Just starting on shopping now after payday!

GaslighterDenier · 02/12/2021 13:26

@CapBarnacles @PinkDaydreams I agree wholeheartedly, can't believe I haven't had one before now. Started wrapping last night and it was a breeze!

Also discovered I have 25 rolls of wrapping paper (Christmas designs) but the less said about that the better Xmas Blush
