Child has literally just asked for an American Girl doll. Am I correct we can’t get those here? Are my options the Argos designafriends or the ones I’ve seen in Smyths? Sorry it’s not a bargain but I assumed you guys would know 🤞

Our Generation dolls are normally £35-45 but often down to £20 in TK Maxx. The accessories/outfits are then £10+ each. The sets that go with them (ice cream truck, stables, restaurant, school etc) are £60 to £200.

We bought a doll from TK Maxx for £20 and a second hand set on Facebook for £50 for our daughter. We tend to wrap them unboxed for Christmas morning anyway so she's not going to notice it's not brand new at 5! We got the diner set and there's about two cakes missing so pretty much spot on for the price.

I need gift ideas for the people I manage!

I was so smug - I bought seven Go Stationery personalise me notebooks sets from Sainsbury’s when they were doing a deal earlier in the year. I was all set to personalise them with a lovely message for each member of my team. Tried to redeem the gift cards - nada. Not one of them worked. I’ve contacted Go Stationery - no response by email and the telephone is saying person not available. Checked out Facebook - it seems I’m not the only one with this issue and people have been waiting weeks for a response.

I now urgently need to rethink gifts for my team. Six women, one man - range of different ages and tastes. What can I buy them for around £5 each that looks more expensive? I bought them the Rex London coffee cups last year. I feel like now I’ve missed all the good deals.

Pleas hit me with some ideas - I thought I’d done so well but now I could cry 😭

@sittingonacornflake there are a couple on Vinted. Still not cheap, and you have to pay postage of course, but might be worth a luck if you get jo joy with other avenues.

Could anyone please recommend a gift for a couple that looks like a tenner but costs nearer to a fiver?! Can’t be alcohol or food sadly otherwise I would have bought a bottle of wine.

Day 2 of M&S and like many of you... who is behind the bloody door? Does the man have no dignity? It's like a cult. It's like one of those weird psychological tests where they flash images at you for a hundredth of a second to imprint it on your brain. He's here, he's there, he's everywhere. He's Garrrrrrrrrry Barlowwwwwww. We're going to find ourselves with bland staring eyes getting on little buses with a ham sandwich and a flask and our nearest and dearest will be going "don't do it, you don't even like Gary Barlow" and we'll be going in robotic Stepford voices "M&S made me do it" and our families will have to go on daytime TV with sadfaces.

Chat alert! Had very frustrating evening yesterday as my 6th delivery of the day was supposed to be my tape dispenser. It went from on its way to "bit of a delay but will be there before 10pm" and is now showing as coming today or tomorrow.

I am STILL waiting for Museums collection parcel ordered on 21st October. Really pissed off now. It had my wrapping paper and cards. Two weeks ago they finally despatched it but it's still taking the piss. I know I'm abroad, but if other retailers can get things to me in 4-5 days, then so can museum shops.
