And I’m up at 3:40am so thought I’d check out if there are any bargains that I need 😁

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here to use for if you’re posting your personal referral link to others.

Vodafone codes thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Any ideas for a jewellery box for a 12 year old please? Seem to find either too babyish ones (e..g unicorn, fairies) or overly old ones. Not keen to have her name on it as have looked on Etsy. Thanks.

Paloma2000 · 28/11/2021 18:13

I think the Chilly’s free engraving with a referral link has been mentioned already but it actually seems to be working now with the Black Friday offers. Previously it wasn’t combining.

As such, you can now get one of the basic coloured bottles engraved free and delivered for £12 if you use a referral link, saving £12ish on the bottle and £10 on the engraving.

I’ll put my link over on the bargain / referrals board in case anyone is interested. 👍🏻

Thanks @Fuckingfuckssake and @EvilPea I'll have a look but trying to avoid rl shopping at the moment. Might be able to get DH to do a collection for me

It depends on your budget but I bought stackers from JL ( but think you can get them elsewhere) for my DDs. Different colours and can build on them as needed. Got them years ago and they're still looking perfect. I have them as well!
livinginhope87 · 28/11/2021 18:16

@Crapbags what size is a s/m?

NoSquirrels · 28/11/2021 18:22

@oatmilkisntsobad

I need a pair of men's Christmas socks for a stocking filler so don't want to spend too much. Asos have some in their sale reduced to around £3/4but then there's £4 delivery! I've bought from eBay before and the quality has been shocking. Any suggestions?
Lidl! Loads in there today when I was in (also other Christmas clothes). Think the socks were something like £1.99.
IDontDrinkTea · 28/11/2021 18:22

For those asking about the tape dispenser, I have this one as recommended by mumsnet two years ago and it’s the absolute bees knees

Rampanthobbit · 28/11/2021 18:24

Hi all, can anyone suggest a nice gift for a boy aged 8/9 and a girl 4/5. It would have to be something to the value of around £25 and not too big as they would have to carry them back home in their luggage abroad in the new year.

Iggi999 · 28/11/2021 18:25

Bloody ds just made up his mind about his wish for this year and wants AirPods - at least they seem to be something not completely out of stock!

OhRex · 28/11/2021 18:32

Thinking of buying an artificial tree - is this the time to do it or should I wait til December? Balsam Hill has a BF event but it’s still eye-wateringly expensive….. Confused

goingpearshaped · 28/11/2021 18:36

Thanks @RainbowPhilosophy, prob a bit small. Had forgotten to check NOTH though, off to google now. Thank you!

Poppiesway1 · 28/11/2021 18:41

@dizzygirl1 blimey. I ordered on 9th November and said it would be delivered on 29th. I must have picked a slightly different seller to the rest of you! On further investigation it looked like they were coming from Poland!!!

LostForWords2021 · 28/11/2021 18:41

I have a few requests if that’s ok?

I’m trying to buy a stain air wrap but it has to be a long barrel and looks to be out of stock everywhere.

Are there any further discount codes for Hot diamonds? I have a blue card so I’ll check there

Finally, oos as far as I can see adult size 9 white Nike socks if anyone see them.

Thank you

chickenmashandgravy · 28/11/2021 18:47

Do any of you lovely people have an Argos code please? I’m spending £159 and would love any kind of discount.

GaslighterDenier · 28/11/2021 18:47

Crapbags · 28/11/2021 18:51

Ewock · 28/11/2021 18:51

Hi all I am sorry to ask as I know these have been discussed in an earliernhtread, but I can not find it at all. What is a Tonie? And is it worth it. My dd is 5 soon. Thanks

8% cashback from quidco, not loads but better than nothing.
BonnesVacances · 28/11/2021 18:56

@Elpheba

Morning all, does anyone have any good ideas for places to look for kids luggage? I’d like to get both DC (3 and 5) their own wheely bag but want it to fit Ryanair/easyJet hand luggage rules in the vain hope that one day we’ll go abroad again! Only looked at smiggle & skip hop so far and they’re too big…

Tripp do a nice cabin case on wheels which come in different and bright colours. They look like Lego to me. Grin Not sure if they meet EasyJet or Ryan guidelines though.

DockOTheBay · 28/11/2021 18:56

@Ewock

@Ewock they are audioplayers where the child can control it by choosing a character and putting it on the player and then it plays the story. For a 5 year old I would recommend a Yoto player instead, as it will probably last her longer as tonies are more aimed at younger kids. Both would be suitable for 5, but tonie might not last so long. Yoto is the same principle but uses cards rather than figures - easier to store and cheaper. The stories go up to 12+. They've also just released a portable version. If you're interested in yoto i have a referral code which I can send you for 10% off.
Ewock · 28/11/2021 19:02

Thank you so much that's fab. I vaguely remember seeing a tonie box in the shops a few months back but hadnt paid attention. That is great advice. I'll check out the Yoto and if we buy it a referral code would be great.

Catfog · 28/11/2021 19:08

Yes I'd also recommend a yoto, I think they're ace and should give a fair few years of enjoyment.
