I usually do mine the first weekend of December but I'm feeling particularly festive this year plus my DD5 is desperate to put it up.
Who's got theirs up already?

Always the first weekend in December here. This year we will get it then but not decorate until around the 22nd.

gogginsmrs · 23/11/2021 20:58

Yes they went up at weekend. Normally do weekend closest to 1st December but I had a very scary ride with covid in Sep (pneumonia and pulmonary embolism) so we thought sod it - it makes us happy. And it has 🎄

PoppyMonth · 23/11/2021 21:02

I am thinking only those with fake trees are the early ones.

We have real trees - they'd be depressing by Christmas if we got them now.

furbabymama87 · 23/11/2021 21:02

Yes. I don't normally put it up till the 1st December but thought why not.

RovenderKitt · 23/11/2021 21:06

No. It’s November

Mellowyellow222 · 23/11/2021 21:16

Far too early for me. Feels fake if the Christmas tree is up before 7 December.

I hate walking round shops in November when they are decorated for Christmas.

rosydreams · 23/11/2021 21:23

i need to buy it first ,i am currently wondering what i should try this year to keep my toddler off it.Or should i not bother and just keep the bottom half nude

MrsKeats · 23/11/2021 21:24

It's November.

DramaAlpaca · 23/11/2021 21:25

God no, much too early. We have a real tree and it goes up a week before Christmas.

Peanut82 · 23/11/2021 21:32

Update: The tree is up!
This is the first time ever my tree has been up in November. DP thinks it's too early as does my 14 year old but it makes the house feel cosy and festive. DD5 and I it together earlier.
I might wrap some presents tomorrow 😂

No, it'll go up sometime in mid December. I have started taste testing mince pies though.

Peanut82 · 23/11/2021 21:33

Yes, second weekend in November because I have eleven of them and because I find the festive season (and the build up to it) wonderful. Glad you’ve gone for it OP! Let the merriment commence xxx

firstimemamma · 23/11/2021 21:39

Ours will be going up on 12th dec. I'd have if up early December if it was just up to me but hey ho.

Phlump · 23/11/2021 21:54

They never went down. I have two and they are assembled (the ones with coloured coded branches) in the garage. I took all the decks off though. Will save me at least two hours!

LadyCatStark · 23/11/2021 22:02

No but we will do this weekend.

millerpie · 23/11/2021 22:54

No, to early for me. Plus inside and out is a two day job so it definitely won’t be this weekend. Have noticed a few more in the village on my drive home this evening and it looks lovely and cosy.

milkysmum · 23/11/2021 23:05

Yes went up this weekend. DS had covid so we are isolating and bored- getting the tree down out of the attic and putting on a Christmas film cheered everyone up a bit!

FaoinDrualus · 23/11/2021 23:07

@StickersStickers

It’s going up this Friday in time for the Late Late Toy Show!
YES! Same for me 😃🎄🥳 Toy show, tree and Baileys coffee. I'll be leaving to go to Ireland on 17th Dec, so want to get a few weeks out of it before I go ✈🇨🇮.
Suzi888 · 23/11/2021 23:22

Did it tonight, took me five hours . 🎄👌🏻

Holothane · 23/11/2021 23:23

Christmas Eve this year I really don’t care this year will do advent calendar though.

Twilight7777 · 23/11/2021 23:27

Usually would be this weekend but I’m recovering from pneumonia

sarah13xx · 23/11/2021 23:47

Nope! I can’t get anymore christmasy as soon as it hits December but it just feels wrong when I see people with it up in December. I so want to join their Christmas spirit but it’s just not right. It would be like kidding on its your birthday on random days. Yeah it would be nice to sing the song and blow out the candles but everyone knows it’s not your birthday 🤔

MollysDolly · 24/11/2021 08:35

Ours is now going up. We're usually around Dec 1st, but this year, after two shitty Christmases through covid and heavily pregnant, I want Christmas done by Dec 1st. The last two years we've missed Christmas parties, Christmas markets, the light switch on, carol singing...

Trees will be up. Garlands up. Wreath made and up. All shopping finished and wrapped. December is going to be as relaxed as possible. Lots of walks for baby DTwins to see lights, Christmas films, some national trust visits, with nothing left to do on the day apart from put pressies under the tree and cook dinner.

MrsMiddleMother · 24/11/2021 13:09

No tree up yet. I usually put it up from the 20th November but just don't the spirit yet
