Poor old Gary - he’s gone from money off his concerts to being drowned in hot chocolate 🤣. Thanks for the title @iklboo Grin

@TakeMeToYourLiar

I have two presents left to get and I'm stuck

One is my granny
She lives in a care home. Doesn't want stuff. Can't get anywhere for experiences. No room for photos, mine are 2 of 20+ great grandchildren. Doesn't drink. No appetite and lots of allergies. Last year I got her a scarf from the highland company to keep her warm

Other is a girl in her twenties
I haven't seen her in a while but need to get her a gift for political reasons. Don't want it to cost much but needs to look reasonable. She's into horses, has a horse. Is well off

Any ideas gratefully received

Granny:

Turtle doves fingerless gloves
Blanket scarf
Zara home reed diffuser (I like that brand)
Nightwear or bed jacket/ warm housecoat thing
Heated throw
Joint support pillow eg. https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-specialist-synthetic-neck-support-pillow/p4323519?sku=238294117&sppc=2dx92700064084199021&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gbraid=0AAAAAD2el1ze3TctNociWNPIfxwlOH6T1&gbraid=0AAAAAD2el1ze3TctNociWNPIfxwlOH6T1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqobBp9mh9AIVX49oCR2CDwIlEAQYASABEgLsdPDD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
New duvet or pillows
Pillow spray
Adaptive clothing that's actually pretty
Ancestry kit
A photo book of places from her past eg. Pictures of old home etc and how it looks now made from images on Google maps
Activity cushion / apron
Craft supplies

Amaryllis bulbs in a pot. Lidl have them in at the moment and garden centres will too. Long stem with huge trumpet like flowers in reds and pinks. Very beautiful when they open and don't need much looking after. Always a talking point when I've gifted them.
Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 18/11/2021 10:32

@nickdrakeslovechild you make a good point and you're absolutely right they're not the proper ones now I've looked! Ah well looks like Ddog is getting a panda in his stocking this year Grin

psuedocream3 · 18/11/2021 10:33

Thank you @catsarebetterthandogs9 for the bedding, it does look like a misprice as fitted sheets alone seem to be around the £8 mark. If it's not a misprice, then what a bargain anyway. Always wated to do Christmas bedding for the kids but needing four sets would normally mean it's waaaay out of my budget. Not moaning at £32.

Doomscrolling · 18/11/2021 10:37

@Straysocks - one huge advantage of the Occulus is Beatsabre. My completely exercise-averse young adults will happily exercise themselves into exhaustion several times a week playing that.

I wouldn't reccomend it for younger than mid teens but it really is remarkable. Lots of fun games and as I say, they've never willingly exercised so often. We've had it about 18 months and they're still as keen.

Carrie76 · 18/11/2021 10:39

DS is looking for a Bournemouth kit, any ideas on where to get a bargainous one? Unfortunately they’re not on footballs4u

Twonka · 18/11/2021 10:40
@Twonka brilliant! Did you get the cotton one or the fleece one? They had slippers on similar offer the other day and they are arriving today so we will see
I got the fleece one, with piping
Are slippers still on offer do you know?

Namechangesagain · 18/11/2021 10:42

Sloth hoodies at primark. All sizes!! Tag me if you want one

DeepestDarkestRiver · 18/11/2021 10:42

Apologies, this expires today, but I thought I was going to use it - decided to buy elsewhere instead.

£5 of £30 spend at Argos: A88T21X95XXU

Hope someone can use it.

woodwaj · 18/11/2021 10:43

@TakeMeToYourLiar heated blanket? Last year I gifted hard to buy for dm a vase that I had a picture on that my son drew. It was from etsy and was under £20 and I just got flowers to go with it. Im sure I could find the seller if that sounded like something she might like. The 20 year old a hotel chocolat dipping adventure is always my go to gift for those I'm stuck on.

I've posted this seller before just because I like them but my advent calender arrived today and I can't wait to open it. Its hand made clay jewellery. I also got some stickers to seal my envelopes with!

little acorn designz

@Sallylovesdaisy Thank you for taking the trouble to photograph the tags. I've placed an order and already been advised it will be delivered tomorrow. Impressed so far!

buckeejit · 18/11/2021 10:46

@TakeMeToYourLiar I'd recommend an electric hot water bottle - I've used these & this morning at 8am was still warm from charging for 10 mins at 11.30 last night.

Ck91 · 18/11/2021 10:51

I can’t remember who was looking for the tonie or yoto player, but Vodafone has 35% off code for the toniebox with a free Disney tonie. Making it £55.96 (free p&p). Happy to pm my code over if you still need it.

Try starting-11.com I saw something on their last month but they are doing something with their website - but you can still chat to them?? Never purchased anything with them though I’m afraid..

I've been after a yoto one and been holding out for a code. Is this just for a tonie?
PoirotAndHisMoustache · 18/11/2021 11:10

@Twonka yes! I just checked! I paid £12.50 but they come up £5.50 for me now! Not many sizes left though so hope they have the one you need

Dedoles have bogof on socks

snowmanshoes · 18/11/2021 11:13

Hi all - a bit late to the party this year Confused anyhow benefitcosmetics have some good deals at the moment in their Christmas tins.

The 3 normal size mascara tin is only £33 and to buy individually should be double that. The badgal mascara is fab but in this set you can try the other two for only an extra tenner!

Thank you for this offer. I just ordered FIL slippers for £5.50 Grin

Ck91 · 18/11/2021 11:22

@KG1145 yes I’m afraid so, it’s directly from them. It says it’s until 17th December so if you change your mind and no ones claims it I’m happy to send it over.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 18/11/2021 11:23
