This year DH and I are just buying each other a few quality consumable items. I want to give him a general list then he can pick a few things off it and choose the exact variety.

So far I have:

Pink champagne truffles
High quality shower gel eg Loccitane, Neals Yard or similar
White Company candle

Is there anything else you can suggest?

Note, I am a big reader so planning to get the new Kindle paperwhite.

I was disappointed by Neom candles too. Diptyque are my absolute favourites. I usually buy Feu des Bois which is a very wintery candle (smells like a woodfire but in a lovely way). I've just bought the Narguile candle and even DH is obsessed with it. Also just bought Baies which is quite girly, berries and rose. I smell rose more than anything and it reminds me of the scent of some Oskia skincare products.

@Invasionofthegutsnatchers

Where can I buy pure cashmere socks that aren't £££££££?

Turtle Doves. I have Reynauds and have the wrist warmers, and they are fantastic. I'm coveting a loop in red/grey/black too

Yiayoula · 13/11/2021 18:24

Pillow sprays : either Neom’s Perfect Nights Sleep or Deep Sleep from This Works.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 13/11/2021 18:33

The C&W pink champagne truffles are really oily. My DM was given some and saved them to share with me. We both thought they were really oily and tasteless. Total waste of money IMO. Shame as we were looking forward to them.

PurBal · 13/11/2021 18:36

A bottle of champagne. A small one if for stockings.

Howshouldibehave · 13/11/2021 18:42

TKMaxx and Brandalley are good for cashmere at decent prices.

DareDevil223 · 13/11/2021 19:19

@PieonaBarm I recently bought one of the cashmere loops (the berry one, so reds, purples etc) it's gorgeous and really versatile. I wore it as a shrug over a dress the other day and it looked great. Would recommend.

me4real · 13/11/2021 19:23

@yoshiblue He could get you the paperwhite if he knows that's what you want, depending on his budget.

DeepDown12 · 13/11/2021 19:30

Jo Malone candle
U Beauty resurfacing compound
Silk pillowcase & silk hairbands
Cashmere wrap

DGFB · 13/11/2021 19:32

I love both White Company (winter or rhubarb) candles and Jo Malone. Bliss

me4real · 13/11/2021 19:40

Bestie (ex partner) and I will buy each other a technological, musical or whatever expensive item or give the person half towards it (including a drawing of half the thing. Smile )

Then one or two smaller things maybe. I make or get him a stocking but that's just us lol, and I don't have any kids.

OhThatChicken · 13/11/2021 19:45

Elemis Franjipani body scrub. I love it so much, the smell makes me think of being on holiday but it’s too expensive for me to buy myself.

TheQueenOfProcrastination · 13/11/2021 19:46

Agree with @slipperyeel - booze and Chanel.

Plus cashmere bedsocks, or cashmere fingerless gloves/wristwarmers.

L'Occitane hand cream - the one for very dry hands.

Cashmere snood (sounds ridiculous, but I love the one I bought on a whim last year).

I have always bought them from Pure Collection or the White Company - though they both need watching, as they can sometimes say "cashmere", when they actually mean "contains cashmere".

Also like my cashmere hot water bottle cover (White Company).

TheQueenOfProcrastination · 13/11/2021 19:48

Also F&M or Harrods breakfast tea. Or any F&M tea!

honestogod · 13/11/2021 19:51

Have you tried the Oskia melting massage oil candle - lovely

I prefer the Lindor champagne truffles - I string them and hang on my tree
