Canterbury as in the Rugby brand have a Black Friday sale - quite a lot already sold but managed to get a couple of tops for DS13 for £12 total - inc free P&P & free returns

ThePurpleGirl · 15/11/2021 16:12

@JanetheObscure

The psychology of shopping ... I tried the ASOS random code, but abandoned my basket when it only gave me 19%, rather than the 50%/30% that some of you lucky shoppers got.

I normally bite the hand off anyone offering a 20% discount, but somehow felt cheated!

@JanetheObscure I did exactly the same thing - in fact I created accounts with 3 different email addresses to try to get a bigger discount but it got smaller with each attempt so I gave up Grin
psuedocream3 · 15/11/2021 16:16

Thanks @twonka They have their Black Friday deals on literally just now and have free delivery on all orders, and I sued FESTIVE20 for 20% offf too.

Going to order the M&S PJs and just send them back if they go cheaper enough to justify returning them.

ThePurpleGirl · 15/11/2021 16:19
@livingthegoodlife my DD8 is exactly the same and is struggling to think of anything. I think I might go for a 3D pen for her as she is quite arty.

I know she would love a squishmallow as well but as they are out of stock everywhere I'm hoping a squishaboo will be a good substitute and she won't worry about the branding due to her age.
@Choconuts I went to my nearest big Sainsburys yesterday and they had some squishmallows in. They were £8 and they had about 8 different styles including a sort of pastel rainbow coloured one that I think is meant to be an owl - my DD (8) was with me and immediately honed in on it and declared she loved it and would really like one for Christmas. They had 3 full boxes (with all 8 designs in each box) yesterday and I'm sure I didn't see them there when I went in on Thursday, so I think they're new in. If you don't have any in your Sainsburys and if mine still have them next time I go in do you want me to pick one up and post it to you?

CarrieMoonbeams · 15/11/2021 16:22

@psuedocream3, if it's Joules own brand, I just got an email just now saying they're doing free standard delivery on all orders.

PeachTea1 · 15/11/2021 16:25

For those after ASOS codes there seems to be one a week at the moment so I'm sure you won't be waiting long for another - they'll definitely do Black Friday

takethattime · 15/11/2021 16:26

Celtic and Co code not working for me either. Is it definitely festive20.

ThePurpleGirl · 15/11/2021 16:30

Oh and @Choconuts and @livingthegoodlife apart from pointing out that squishmallow my DD (8) is also rather lacking in suggestions for Christmas other than roller blades, so I've got some of those along with all the pads. I've also bought a light up pogo stick from Aldi as it was really cheap but will look impressive under the tree (I also have a DS(5) and was worried he would have lots of bulky toys and her pile would look tiny) and hopefully will be fun.

She's really into foxes (they seem to have taken over from the unicorns) so I've got a few fox- themed gifts for her - a fleece blanket, a duvet set, a onesie, some make your own fox bunting, a fox laptray, and fox ear muffs.

She swims competitively so I've bought her a new swim bag for all her kit as her current bag is falling apart. I've also bought some microfiber hair turbans as she's always coming home with dripping wet hair.

Maybe something there will give you an idea?? Smile

ChristmasCatBells · 15/11/2021 16:32

@takethattime found FESTIVE21CV which seems to work

Jellybum2019 · 15/11/2021 16:34

After the Neom diffusers from next got cancelled, can anyone recommend one for around £30? I know the M&S one has bad reviews, but would love to know any recommendations for others so I can give a not so subtle hint to hubby!

Runforwine · 15/11/2021 16:35

If anyone is looking for sterling silver charm bracelets, I can recommend www.mantrajewellery.co.uk. I bought a silver lotus bracelet for my daughter, its quite dainty and comes package really nicely, prob won't bother wrapping it. Free deliver and only £20. All the jewellery looks reasonably priced so worth a gander.

Choconuts · 15/11/2021 16:42

Thanks @ThePurpleGirl I actually live really close to a big Sainsbury's so am in there all the time but I hadn't thought to check if they have any in stock.

Your DD sounds very similar to mine who has also declared that unicorns are babyish after previously having to have everything unicorn! She also got A 5 yr old brother who wants lots of big plastic toys so I am suffering from the same worry about how the presents will look under the tree - thanks for your helpful suggestions and kind offer to pick up a squishmallow for me.

I love how helpful and kind everyone is on here Smile

livingthegoodlife · 15/11/2021 16:42

Thanks everyone. @ThePurpleGirl good call on competitive swimming. Mine does too & she needs her own fins/board/etc so that is a fab idea! She also has a squishy pillow thing.

But good ideas..... I'll look into them more!

thaegumathteth · 15/11/2021 16:42

Does anyone have any idea where I could get shoeboxes from for the appeal they're doing at school. We don't really have any shoe shops nearby so am struggling a bit....

Yeknom · 15/11/2021 16:48

Is everyone paying £4.95 shipping on the c&c gloves?

Fuckingfuckssake · 15/11/2021 16:49

@Newdad19 £20 off at Celtic and Co, doesn't seem to be a minimum spend? The code is FESTIVE21CV
