If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Looking for ideas for a 55 year old mum. Have already got her the Lego flower set as something a bit different this year. Remaining budget £15-£20

awishes · 13/11/2021 21:40

No!!! Look at the prices, lovely though!!
Thank you

Yeknom · 13/11/2021 21:42

@awishes yes they are a bit spenny! Have you tried good old M&S the Rosie Huntingdon Whitely (or whatever her name is) collection is always rather lovely

awishes · 13/11/2021 21:44

@RainbowPhilosophy I tried to pm you, not sure if it worked?

awishes · 13/11/2021 21:46

£££s!!!
Thank you.
Are you young? She's only 20 would she like them do you think?

Hanswurst · 13/11/2021 21:48

Also: has anyone seen any mens jumpers in this style, preferably in a dark colour? Plain knit but big/chunky. The ones on this website are lovely but just too expensive

Not as young as I'd like to be (late 30s!), I think if they're the right fabric they'd be fine. Something plain with a different colour piping/edging is quite 'in'. People on the Style/Beauty boards could probably help! Good luck with the search x

DH has just taken up cycling. I'd like to get him one of those jackets that turn completely white when a light shines on them and some cycling gloves. I've had a Google, but know nothing about cycling. Does anyone have any cycling brands they recommend? Or just any old one from decathlon etc?

Thank you

Caramellatteplease · 13/11/2021 21:51

@Hanswurst

How much are they? Are woolovers cheaper?

Thisisbatshit · 13/11/2021 21:54

2kg tin of quality street £12.50 at amazon

here

Per kilo more expensive than smaller tubs from the supermarket but a more impressive looking gift and in an actual tin.

Puffalicious · 13/11/2021 21:55

Thanks for the Lancome code- fantastic! Definicils mascara for me (from DH- he doesn't know yet) - not had it in years, used to buy it regularly sans 3 DC, these days I wouldn't spend almost £30 on mascara, but why shouldn't I? Got it for £17.50 plus the freebies and a Mr Big mascara set for a present for £15.75 when should be £31.50 full price.

Absolute steal.

awishes · 13/11/2021 21:55

@yeknom, thank you! You are young! M and S about half the price. Might look in store, thank you for tips.

Mountain bikers in this house but you can't beat ChainReaction Cycles for choice and great deals. Bikester is great for unusual brands and has reductions at present. Good luck.
Puffalicious · 13/11/2021 21:59

Landsend are always good for jumpers. Or try Gap. Both have 40% deals at the moment online.

Hanswurst · 13/11/2021 22:08

@Caramellatteplease they are just under £100, woolovers are cheaper but I didn’t see anything I thought DH would love.
@Yeknom love the style of that one but sadly not the colour.
Will check out Landsend now, thank you!

Please can anyone help me? I can't even remember if it was on the bargain thread or not but I'm looking for a sort of money box affair that takes the form of a white box frame that hangs on the wall. It's got a slot in the top like a money box and I think is a novel way to save loose change. Was I dreaming or can one of you lovely lot point me in the right direction? TIA.

There are lots of these sorts of things on Etsy.

FFS Beauty has 15% off all Xmas gifts - shaving sets, some beauty sets etc

CharlotteYorkMacDougal · 13/11/2021 22:30

You’re right @awishes they are quite pricy! I saw this one which I also liked last time I was in Primark: www.primark.com/en/all-products/womenswear/clothing/pyjamas/navy-fern-print-satin-robe/p/133578268 like @Yeknom I’m also in my late thirties but I think Primark is fairly universal for reasonably priced stuff Smile

Yeknom · 13/11/2021 22:37

That's gorgeous @CharlotteYorkMacDougal ! I might have to make a trip to primark next week! Great spot!

BeaLola · 13/11/2021 22:39

@Hanswurst

Does anyone know I’d there’s ever a discount on Jo Malone candles? Would love to buy one for MIL but they so expensive!
Not a discount but the cosmetic company stores at Bicester & McArthur Glen outlets often have reduced Jo Malone inc candles
Thisisbatshit · 13/11/2021 22:43

Thanks for the cycling tips @puffalicious

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 13/11/2021 22:52

@mumto3thatsme if you can't get to primark we are very impressed with the dunhelm ones. My 13 year old has practically lived in her adult one since I bought it. They do kids ones too. The kids are £10 and adult £16. I have one too, the material is lovely and I much preferred it to the adult primark snuddies which I took back. (My daughters unicorn one from primark is ok, but the adult ones were awful, I bought L/XL for her and she's in 8-9 clothes.)

Whyisitsodifficult · 13/11/2021 22:52

Any bargains/discounts on Supreme clothing? £40+ for a T-shirt seems ridiculous to me but then I’m not 15!
