If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Gutted to miss out on squishmallows, my only aldi is a tiny local one Xmas Sad

Stickytreacle · 31/10/2021 18:26

@MerylSqueak

My brother has just asked for camera equipment. I've no idea where to go. He wants a backpack and a tripod. Any ideas?
Jessops specialise in cameras etc, might be worth a look?
Daisy829 · 31/10/2021 18:32

@22Giraffes which one did you want? I can pop back & check mine tomorrow if you want

Someone posted earlier that they had purchased a couple of spares they would post out too. Think a latte & cinnamon buns.

MerylSqueak · 31/10/2021 18:39

Thank you@Stickytreacle I'd forgotten about them.

@MerylSqueak

Lowepro are good for camera bags

I just had a quick look and depending on your budget this is one of their cheaper styles LOWEPRO CAMERA BACKPACK

Also second Jessops or daft as it sounds Amazon - they have a range of basics I think

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 31/10/2021 18:55

Oh just seen that bag is not marked as new sorry but wex website may have others if that isn't suitable Smile

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 31/10/2021 19:04

Here is the Amazon camera backpack

Might be more suitable @MerylSqueak

MerylSqueak · 31/10/2021 19:20

Oo that's quite affordable. Perfect. Thanks @Justhereforthechristmasthreads. I'll get that.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 31/10/2021 19:25

@MerylSqueak Amazon also do a tripod for a similar price £20.99 I think or there abouts. Just check the fully extended height would suit your brother

MerylSqueak · 31/10/2021 19:38

Thanks. Will do.

vivicrocodile · 31/10/2021 19:40

I'm on the lookout for an actifry. Any ideas where to get it for the best bargain?

Thanks :)

I know Hype has been mentioned, but I think its worth adding that they have 'lucky dip' bags. 10 random items. Usually £240, down to £120 on the website and then £60 with HYPE50. you just choose gender and age :)

ScarlettDarling · 31/10/2021 19:44

Lots of Victoria’s Secret body sprays for £7 and you can get them delivered to a Next store for free these days.

Purpleheadgirl · 31/10/2021 19:44

Looking for advice on where to get a blanket / throw which has been made from recycled plastic bottles please? Relative has said they got one on offer from weavergreen at £30 (? At a show) but I can only find them at £45 .....relative also likes a bargain and says they aren't worth paying for at full price, although they are lovely 😁 Do they do any black Friday deals, or is there anywhere else that folk can suggest please? Thanks

Oneborneverydecade · 31/10/2021 19:54
@Oneborneverydecade which ones did you want? I can pop to my local tomorrow after work and check for you there. It’s only 5 mins away
Thank you, that's very kind of you. I was hoping for a cinnamon bun and cupcake please.
I've asked DB but no idea when he'll be in store

IggyAce · 31/10/2021 19:57

@MerylSqueak what type of photography does your brother enjoy? Decent tripods are expensive, the cheaper ones are often too light and not sturdy.
Lowepro is a good brand for bags. Check any bag is waterproof especially if he is a landscape photographer.

My dh is a professional photographer (weddings) and he’s had good service from this company.

If anyone is stuck for something to buy a photographer enthusiast then the holdfast moneymaker harness might be suitable, not cheap but it’s beautiful and well made. The link to the site is a uk stockist.

ThePoliceOfficer · 31/10/2021 19:58

Thanks for the Joe & Seph code, order placed! Popped my Christmas bargain cherry 🤣

BlueFlavour · 31/10/2021 19:59

Thank you for these lovely threads. Quite a while ago I bought my friend’s little grandson a Christmas t shirt, a dinosaur one. I haven’t received it and I can’t remember the company’s name. Could anyone help please? It was so nice.

MerylSqueak · 31/10/2021 20:01

Thanks @IggyAce. He mainly takes photos outside. Cityscapes. I've just been looking at tripods and a bit taken aback at the prices given that he's asked for camera, tripod, external harddrive and shutter release! I hope he's thinking of all that as a wish list not a shopping list!

ScarlettDarling · 31/10/2021 20:05

These little envelopes are fantastic for anyone making their own advent calendar. Only £3 for 24.

Daisy829 · 31/10/2021 20:07

@Oneborneverydecade leave it with me. I’ll report back

Was it Rocket & Rose?
WhyDoesItAlways · 31/10/2021 20:10

@BlueFlavour was it rocket and rose? I haven't ordered from them but when I browsed their site there was a warning about delivery times being delayed.

Number109 · 31/10/2021 20:11

@BlueFlavour was it rocket and rose?

Reastie · 31/10/2021 20:14

Thanks @IggyAce

Feeling a bit under the weather this evening and off to bed soon so if thread needs setting up please do go for it. I’m assuming it’s a bit premature atm but will check in once more a bit later before drifting off
