@bigarse1 💐

Oldmrswasherwoman · 27/10/2021 08:44

@bigarse1 if you are near Derby we have a box of My Little ponys you can have - the large, hard plastic ones - a variety of them that light up/make sounds.

yellowsun · 27/10/2021 08:47

@Kiduknot

Would anyone have a moshulu refer a friend discount code please?
@Kiduknot I have sent you a pm.
MerylSqueak · 27/10/2021 08:57

@bigarse1 what about an audio book subscription like audible? The sleeping headphones sound like a fantastic idea. I think a family watch of his favourite film might be nice. We did this with my dad when he was poorly.

PoirotAndHisMoustache · 27/10/2021 08:58

If anyone is buying things from Lakeland the codes seem to stack. I just used the £10 off £60 spend that someone posted earlier and the 5% off £30 spend i got through the post together

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 27/10/2021 09:07

I’ve just had a £5 off a £15 spend coupon sent from Amazon. Might be worth checking inboxes as it said it was limited to the first 10,000 coupons

Great, thanks for this. Just got a nice soap set on offer at the same time. Fab gift!

Free neom Christmas wish travel candle with £50 spend. Code Christmas

22Giraffes · 27/10/2021 09:10

Argos have some stock of PS5 this morning, the website is slow and glitchy but I persevered and managed to get one.

Autumnleaves4 · 27/10/2021 09:20

Thank you for the Lakeland heated blanket recommendation, they are a bit out of my price range although .I will see if I can find any codes to stack, has anyone got any unused?

VaprousDropProfound · 27/10/2021 09:22
@Minionbums you are completely right. I'm just getting lost in it all. My children have autism and expect Christmas to be exactly the same and it just isn't going to be
He has gone from someone who is a real foodie and active to someone laying in bed. I like the idea of the photo frame but think we have one somewhere.
I was thinking of a bundle of books and DVDs for them all so they could curl up with him and watch or they could all listen if I read but I worried that he couldn't tolerate them curled up with him so I dithered and missed the deal.
You are all lovely and I will keep reading as something may appear. Hadn't asked on here before as I didn't want people to feel like I just shot down all suggestions. Thanks
Am feeling for you bigarse1, I have had chemo myself so know how he is feeling and my sister has just started chemo for a cancer with a rather negative prognosis so have a tiny insight into how you are feeling.

Running the risk of being patronising, you not being stressed is probably the best gift you can give - I know easier said than done. On a more helpful note, I would second the headphones idea, my sister just had a set of those for her birthday and was thrilled. I was very touched when I was given a tiny iPod (was 6 years ago) already loaded with a playlist chosen by a friend. But my other suggestion is a sprocket. He can scroll through his phone from his bed and print off images or take lots more over Christmas, print them and store them. My sister got one and it has been her way of recording her memories, and no need to apologise for ignoring any or all ideas - you will know when something seems a good fit.

noscoobydoodle · 27/10/2021 09:25

@bigarse1- H&m have my little pony underwear in age 8-10. I've also been on a similar hunt for my niece! Character.com have MLP clothes up to age 9-10. For plushes- buildabear have cherilee currently on offer 25% off. Xsstock.co.uk have some smaller bargain plushes (but none I wanted sadly). I ordered Songbird Serenade from homestoredirect website (not a bargain bit specifically requested- not arrived yet so no idea on quality). I've also bought some cutie mark blind bags on offer at a1 toys as stocking fillers reduced to 1.99.
So sorry about your husband. My MiL has got really into aromatherapy oils whilst having chemo as she can enjoy the scents without moving a muscle and she has a plug in diffuser so no faffing with candles etc. She says she doesn't have have the mental energy for music/audio books some days but she enjoys this (although she is a bit of a hippie so might not be for everyone!)

RJnomore1 · 27/10/2021 09:25

Re boots : I haven’t collected yet but I got student discount on mine and my account is saying I will collect 1,106 points when I do. What does it say in your accounts online when you look at the order? It should tell you how many points you are getting then.

JollyHostess · 27/10/2021 09:26

Thanks for the reminder about Amazon 5 off 15!! It worked for me.

Minionbums · 27/10/2021 09:31

Looks like the PS5s are gone Angry

RainbowPhilosophy · 27/10/2021 09:33

I'm off to - gulp - the real life shops soon. I will probably have a look in Primark so if anyone is desperate for a particular fake oodie let me know and I'll look while I'm there.

StopGoQuitStart · 27/10/2021 09:36

Does anyone recall if Argos has discounts in iPads last Black Friday? Needs to be there as using nectar points to buy. Just wondering if best to buy now whilst in stock. Tia

WhereTheresAHill · 27/10/2021 09:44

Someone take my Matalan 20% off code off of me before I use it as an excuse to buy something 🙈

LittleSquirrels · 27/10/2021 09:45

@WhereTheresAHill

Someone take my Matalan 20% off code off of me before I use it as an excuse to buy something 🙈
Yes please if still available xx
Autumnleaves4 · 27/10/2021 09:46

@CharlieWeasley do you still have your £10 off £60 code at Lakeland, I’d like it please if possible. I’ve scrolled back through a couple of threads and the others seem out of date now.

BadgerFace · 27/10/2021 10:00

Are Smyths likely to do Black Friday deals? I haven’t bought from them in the past but there are a couple of things on DD1’s list from there and I don’t know whether to buy now (so I’m done for her!) or wait a few weeks. Waiting does not come easy…!

imnottoofussed · 27/10/2021 10:00
