Thank you. I’ve sorted that way now so narrowed things down slightly. Just wish was more user friendly but like you say discount is good so won’t complain too much

I have a 9 year old, suspected dyslexic boy. He is a very (like didn't pick up a book for over a year when I deregistered him from school) reluctant reader but loves Dogman and Cat Kid Comic Club. He much prefers the graphic novel style as it doesn't really matter and it's funny. I will try him with Tom Gates next. I also get him older picture books like the Journey trilogy and Shaun Tan books so there is no pressure to read. Also, don't forget audiobooks. We have an audible subscription so he can listen to high quality books without worrying about reading them.

Can anyone recommend an outdoor netball/basketball hoop around £40-50 for DC aged 9 and 6 please? It needs to be sturdy as DD is much younger and inclined to pull things over/climb on them. There are so many on Amazon at a variety of prices it’s hard to know if there’s much difference in quality. An Everlast one on Sports Direct reduced to £49.99 looked good but would be £60 delivered 😱.

We got the two in smyths. Think it was 39.99 but possibly haf went up to 45.99 when purchased 2nd one

I was in Aldi today, btw and they have a limited selection of wooden toys instore. Looks like their usual quality.

Squishmallows seem to be barely in stock anywhere, let alone with deals! I tracked the one DD wanted down in Selfridges of all places.

Also, popping back on to say I would recommend a Wreck This Journal, with the codes is just over a fiver at WHS.

I got one for DD11 for her birthday and it has amused her no end this week

For anyone looking an oodie alternative Dd bought me the silent night one from next. It is amazing. I have had it on all day and it’s so soft and comfortable. I don’t think it’s quite as thick as her genuine one but it’s close.
It was £45 and comes in 3 colours.
They also have a much thinner men’s oversized fleece which I got for dh.

Finally succumbed and made a WHS order… also managed to get free delivery even though I only spent £15!

Any ideas for family board games for 11 & 13 year olds that on hers have enjoyed. We have monopoly and Family Trivial Pursuits. Thanks
