Thanks @bizzey for the title, which tickled me! The day of the triffids? Nope, it’s the day of the cardboard boxes!

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@AMistakePlusKeleven

My Amazon lego voucher isn’t applying at checkout, could anyone suggest any reasons why? I’m trying to buy the HP clock tower.
I’m experiencing the same problem, I also tried it on my husband’s account and it still wouldn’t work.
Mumto3thatsme · 22/10/2021 09:56

Lego10 @dizzygirl1

Ck91 · 22/10/2021 09:58

@BestofLuck I brought him that one last Christmas and it looks fab!

Hunnybadger1 · 22/10/2021 10:00

The voucher discount isn’t showing for me on Amazon Lego at checkout either?

nicky2512 · 22/10/2021 10:01

I just got a Tesco order with 3 large Yankee jars for £9 each instead of £14. There was also a £5 of £30 spend on certain home items so bought a small jar too and got the lot for £27. Not sure if this is in store too or only online.

1stTimeMama · 22/10/2021 10:01

The Amazon codes aren't coming off for me. Read the terms and it says you can only have one item in your basket with a voucher applied, so I emptied all but one and it's still not working. Has anyone else fixed their issues with it?

Mumto3thatsme · 22/10/2021 10:03

@BestofLuck great spot on the 10% Lego discount, managed to get the mandalorian baby Yoda Lego for £45. Thanks!

MerylSqueak · 22/10/2021 10:08

Fossil have 20%off sale prices today. The prices look very similar to the previous offer but if anyone missed it, now's your chance.

I messaged them and they said there were technical issues for some accounts that should be resolved in a few hours. They also applied a voucher to my account for anything fulfilled by amazon for the trouble, so might be worth online chatting with them (the voucher is actually more than the lego one).

@Beakerandbungle

Morning everyone

lookfantastic is worth a browse this morning - it’s has some stocking filler/small gift items in a 3 for 2 offer.

Separately my eldest has recently got into Greek myths and Percy Jackson ( he’s 9 nearly 10 - ADHD and doesn’t usually read or engage in learning so this is progress, and another hyper focus to football!). Other than a book does anyone have any thoughts for gifts? I’m stumped

Sorry that it is books but this series of graphic novels are amazing & really dig into the Greek myths
Skullerymaid · 22/10/2021 10:32

I’ve contacted Amazon via their online chat and they ended up applying the discounts for the Lego manually at the checkout, whilst I was on the chat with them. I did have to check out one item at a time for it to work though.

PinkJam · 22/10/2021 10:34

Thank you for the tip about the voucher for reduced Lego on Amazon!

Smyths have the latest Smashers mega Dino light up egg on pre order at £19.99.
They're £25 elsewhere.
Just ordered as it's on DS's top 3 pressies list!

dizzygirl1 · 22/10/2021 10:37

I did a chat with amazon .they were adding the amount of vouchers to my account - not showing currently

Billyandemily · 22/10/2021 10:37

Hi can someone remind me of the whsmith codes please. I've scrolled back but can't find them x

sleepingrabbits · 22/10/2021 10:39

Does anyone get nervous by shopping early ? Had a few times my kids obsessions changed over night between Oct to Dec. Last year DS wasn't into Minecraft then suddenly he was. I can't decide whether to buy tue Amazon discounted Minecraft Lego? Will he be onto someone else despite asking for this 😬 especially as he never seems to play with Lego so once it's build that it.

Stick-o magformers 16 piece city set (to make a plane or car) reduced from £16 to £10 on Amazon and JL. Great for the little ones my 2 year old has some.

I have dithered for ages over what to get DH as if he needs anything he just buys it himself and I am generally rubbish at thinking of what to get him. Bit the bullet and went with a voucher for Sindhu in Marlow via buyagift as he loves Atul Kochar. 24% off today and signed up to topcashback so got another 12 quid back! V happy indeed now.
