Thanks @bizzey for the title, which tickled me! The day of the triffids? Nope, it’s the day of the cardboard boxes!

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@Midnightshopping I think it did take quite a while to come through when I signed up. Did come through by the next day though. I dont know if this is account specific but I've been sent this 10% off code you can try. 10OFFBIKE-6KGL-2QZV-4R6W-5XCQ

sleepingrabbits · 20/10/2021 21:50

Slow to the party.. hello I'm new.

Has the cheapy supercars cars on WH Smith's book sold out ? Can anyone link if not, I can't find it on search.

Also I would like to make a door arch so I'm after loads of plastic ( for safety with the kids) Christmas baubles. I would need about 500, to thread onto wire, so must be a bargain. I imagine can buy in packs of 100 somewhere. But where is cheapest ? Not fussed on colours.

Rebelmcstreettuff · 20/10/2021 21:53

Yes,beware of short dated stock on Hotel Du Chocolate, bought a velvetiser and accessory box,the chocolate powder only had a couple of months expiry, complained but they came out with a load of bollocks about it containing milk Hmm
Bought some gift sets which had 2 weeks left on them!
Never ordering online again......

Smileatthesmallthings · 20/10/2021 22:02

@sleepingrabbits I did similar a couple of years ago and actually my best find was bundles of old ones on ebay. Bonus was that most of them were already threaded for me Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 20/10/2021 22:03

Not sure if this has been posted: limited number of kids' books - 6 for £10 from Amazon.

bigchanges1 · 20/10/2021 22:17

Does anyone know if there is a good coffee deal anywhere - possibly similar to the Pact one last year at all? Just bought my first machine with an inbuilt steamer for evening lattes and grateful for any recommendations.

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 20/10/2021 22:32

@sleepingrabbits looks like they've realised and put them back up to £20

Twonka · 20/10/2021 22:36

@CamdenLurker perfect! STUDENT15 worked on Dyefor, thank you

XiCi · 20/10/2021 22:43

@smartiecake

I have finally put two Fiorelli bags in my basket (they were OOS before) but the 'extra' code isn't working on sale items. Does anyone know of any other codes?
FIORELLI15 takes 15% off
RicherThanYew · 20/10/2021 22:57

Does anyone remember where we found the slightly cheaper Moleskine notebooks a year ago/few years back please? I keep thinking it was Bargain Max but that's for toys.

nicky2512 · 20/10/2021 23:08

@MahMahMahMahCorona
I got an email with a link to book. I was able to go as far as Christmas but didn’t look for week between Christmas and New Year as wasn’t going to bother with one that week (hopefully will have enough in).
You should try phoning customer services and asking.

Midnightshopping · 20/10/2021 23:16

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah mine have outgrown ben10 now but we have a bunch of stuff the first 2 box sets and the live action film and a few toys if you interested i can get hubby look for them and message you with pics?

southcarolina · 20/10/2021 23:19

Does anyone know if Whittards ever does sales or promos?

Ruralretreating · 20/10/2021 23:22

I’m looking out for a deal on the Playmobil 123 advent calendar, if anyone sees one. It wouldn’t add to my basket on my WHSmith order and is no longer on there.

PizzaCrust · 20/10/2021 23:38

Anyone who's been on the Smyths website recently:

Is the Super Savings banner the start of the sale or is this a previous promotion? I know rumour has it that a sale starts tomorrow so I'm not sure if this is 'the sale' or not. I was about to buy some reduced Duplo from Argos but thinking I should hold back to see what Smyth's discounts and offerings are.

oatmilkisntsobad · 20/10/2021 23:52

Thanks to the pp (sorry I can't remember who it was) for the heads up on the short use by date on the sticky toffee pud kit. I've also just got a refund and will be baking it this weekend instead of Christmas as planned!

thaegumathteth · 21/10/2021 00:15

@MahMahMahMahCorona I'd give them a call I was able to book right up to Xmas eve and several slots at a time if needed

thaegumathteth · 21/10/2021 00:18

@shash1982

Anyone looking for woodwick crackle candles they have the large ones in the boots 3 for 2 instore and online so works out at a good price if you need to get 3.

The black cherry one smells delicious!

In case anyone isn't needing 3 I've used candles direct before for wood wick candles and they're usually reasonably priced

Also if you haven't had a Ww candle before they are brilliant and only ones I'll buy now

Midnightshopping · 21/10/2021 00:22

@Billyandemily thanks i'll give it a bit and hope it will come through as the child in question has now decided he doesn't want a bike after all, but his big brother still does want a new one. Hmm

Ruralretreating · 21/10/2021 00:42

My Free Photobooks book arrived today. It’s a little gift for a family friend of a holiday we shared and I’m delighted with it. It gave me a free upgrade to hardback and a larger size and it’s lovely. I paid for extra pages so total £12 inc delivery but worth it. I’m wondering what the smaller standard soft back ones will look like as I’m thinking of getting some for Grandparents. Has anyone had those?

Changingagain · 21/10/2021 06:13

@Ruralretreating we have several because the kids love looking through photos of themselves, family and things they've done. I really rate both the hardback and softback, they're good quality and have survived toddlers having free rein with them.

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 21/10/2021 06:21

Wow @Midnightshopping that would be amazing if you are sure you wouldn't mind? I'd defo be interested in the toys as the choice seems so limited even on places like amazon (and I've no idea what I'm looking at tbh so a mixed bunch might help 😂)

Thanks so much!!

If you sign up to the newsletter and/or create an account on the actual Playmobil website, then they email you a code for 15% off. They also have their Treasure Box section, where there are sets without boxes, or slightly damages boxes, for a reduced price. Often, there is the choice of a free gift, if you spend over £30.
Someaddedsugar · 21/10/2021 06:57

Does anyone know if/when the Amazon Black Friday is? I’ve seen a few things discounted elsewhere and was wondering if I should buy with the option of returning if BF has better saving

IDontDrinkTea · 21/10/2021 07:00

Lovely ethically made baby toys at Pebblechild are 40% off the whole website with code LOVE1021
