Just had an email from oodie. They're now doing kids sizes, wish I'd know they were coming before buying my 2 adults sizes. But they do love them!

Could anyone please link to the sort of paper bags they use for stocking fillers? I've looked a few times and struggling to find anything that matches what I'm imagining!

Me too, I've tried email but they've just ignored. I posted on one of the earlier threads about how difficult it had been for me to cancel the beers last year but everyone disagreed. Said they'd easily cancelled by email. Thinking it must've been just me I went ahead and got the wines!

Bracing myself for a phone call where they do everything possible to persuade me to stay/delay/reconsider/accept a discount on the next box etc etc.

Push your next wine delivery back to give you breathing space. Mine is delayed until November. I'm going to try email, as it's always worked on beer.

Hopefully the white will be ok made into a spritzer.
I bet it is not much of a bargain - the probably bought it £1 bottle.

I emailed weds last week and got an automated reply which says, in bold, not to chase the email or you'll go to the back of the queue for a response!

I thought I was going mad when everyone else had been happy with them but I'm still not impressed at all. It's my fault for still ordering the wine after last years fiasco!

@NigelSlatersXmasTaters, I've always cancelled by email. 🤷‍♀️ If you can't call imminently, push your delivery back to late November to give you time to get it sorted.

I've never had any issues cancelling by email, and I've done it a few times now!

I've only done it once...until now. Why aren't they replying to my emails dammit? Just bizarre!

I have 3 emails that have all gone completely ignored but I know they arrived as I got the auto responses!

For those who like to fill their own crackers it’s much cheaper not to buy the “fill your own” ones.

Buy a box of ready filled crackers that you like the colour/outside of - supermarkets often have 12 for £4 or even boxes from Poundland work.
Cut the string/tape from off one end (without cutting the actual cracker) and the cracker will open up very easily from that end. Tip the gifts in there out and just replace them. We usually put the joke and hat back in and add our own gift.
Then just tie them back up again

If you want to make them look more luxurious than before then re tie the end up with matching ribbon (satin or velvet) and tie the other end up to match. You can also add a name tag on when tying the end up if you want

@woodwaj I was one of the people looking for the glass pumpkin jars, our small branch told us they wouldn't be getting them in and it would only be the XL stores and they were right, I haven't seen one and I pop in pretty regularly. Their whole Halloween section has been pretty rubbish altogether this year though!

Both the Home Bargains close to me had a couple of sweets and outfits. No decorations. Yet had 2 whole Christmas isles.

sycamorescrumptious put "paper sweet bags" into eBay & you'll get lots of options (& you can add Christmas to your search if you want snowflakes etc)

After we had a beer52 sub for a while and had cancelled, I got really annoyed with the constant phone calls with offers. On the last one we had, I told them we had stopped drinking and she said oh, I shall take you off the mailing/calling lists then! Just give us a call if you want to come back again for any current offers.

That was it, no more calls. She was very nice on the phone, but they are quite pushy with offers when you initially try to cancel. Anyways. Might be worth saying if you want a quick out!
