Yeah, sometimes mine gets "Manflu" although I he has to be careful what I give him he takes with all the prescription stuff he has.

I check his prescription against things like Lemsip etc, as some OTC stuff he cannot have.

Soooo she doesn't want to eat anything with sugar in it or anything unhealthy apparently. Although she had two mini sausage rolls and a baby bel for lunch (that's all she's eaten today). It took me about half an hour to get that out of her and she immediately shut down again.

Can you give her what you're having? it won't have any/extra sugar.
Someone has picked on her, and her weight.

Wreck she hasn't been sucked in to some nonsense about being thin / dieting or anything has she? I remember deciding randomly at just a bit older than her (and despite being thin) that I wouldn't eat lunch or puddings ever again as I was clearly fat
I didn't tell anyone and it all came out in a mess of hormonal tears mixed in with some rubbish about my parents preferring my sister

Puss I wish my DH would take medication when he's ill. He gets the opposite of man flu - he just continues regardless and looks on medication as a sign of weakness 🙄 It basically means he's ill for longer and it annoys me.

My stupid diet decision was the result of one dickhead commenting about me weight while I ate a pasty for lunch 😡

I'm not getting anything from her just 'I don't know'. I can't find anything on her phone that's concerning and she says no one has said anything. About to lose it with dh who just keeps getting arsey with her for how she's behaving. The same DH who makes comments on what she's eating 'you must have your whole days calories in that bowl'. I'm always telling him to stop it but for some reason he doesn't see what he's doing.

Puss I offered to get her anything she wanted. In the end she agreed to some broccoli and one veggie sausage. She ate all the broccoli and one bit of sausage. She's also now not drinking squash only water.

Crazy He has to be really properly ill to take paracetomol (although the nearer he is to 60, the easier it's getting to get something into him). Give yours a few years to catch mine up. 😂

Wreck id definitely be pulling him up on those comments, every time and in front of DD so she can see it's not ok.
My mum made comments like that while I was growing up and its caused all sorts of food and weigh issues for me and my sister 🤬

puss I moan about DH but I actually dread him turning into FIL who is always ill with something and probably takes some sort of medication several times each week.

I'm not sure what's happened to my DH. He talked to me about trying out a red cabbage recipe for Christmas soon, actually said he likes the crap Sainsbury's Christmas ad and bought a slate platter thing in Aldi on his way home and presented it to me by saying "look what I bought - I thought you'd like it for your Christmas table"

Wreck, I agree with Crazy; you need to stop the rot he's coming out with. He's going to drive her to an eating disorder. If DH did that, he'd be packed off back to his parents before he could blink!

Wreck your poor DD. It definitely sounds like something has been said about food/calories/sugar. Perhaps not to her directly but as a "healthy eating" lesson at school.

Oh, in good news today, I now qualify for my booster jab! I can book from 26 Nov, so will have it just after Christmas. I'm giving blood on 27 Dec, so will try to book for 28 Dec.

Wreck they haven't done something at school in PHSE about healthy eating have they? My DD mentioned the other night that she didn't like her fat tummy and she needed to get healthy - they covered healthy eating at school so it may be that, or conversations she's overheard at school.

Puss My DH is the same...except he prepares for manflu as he goes out and buys lemsips and then lo and behold he's "poorly" 2 days later.

I've had my covid booster jab today. I'm feeling quite queasy and grumpy now though 😕

Heyup beware the sore armpit/lymph nodes. We had ours a few days ago. DH hardly noticed tbh but my left pit was really tender for 48hrs+

It seems she's just unhappy with her body. She tried some shorts on the other day and couldn't do them up and has been regularly weighing herself since. My friend came and had a chat with her so hopefully we can move things forward a bit.

It's shit changing from child to adult. Nothing ever fits properly (ever again - but don't tell her that) lots of reassurance and stern words with your (D) H
