Also got the hotel chocolat email. Is it too early to buy Xmas choc from them - do you think best before dates will be ok?

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 08/10/2021 18:22

Congrats @InDreamland and @psuedocream3! Cue several hundred (total guess - no idea how many of us there are!!) women getting extremely broody! 😂

MeredithGreyishblue · 08/10/2021 18:25

Oh, my giddy aunt! The M&S Christmas Gingerbread Fudge bites are incredible.

I'm ashamed to say they didn't last the car journey home...

bizzey · 08/10/2021 18:32

Live this thread so much !
Thank you to pp agesss ago with the link on the 3 wines and just pay delivery .
It arrived today and I also ordered 8 craft ales/beers for just the delivery .

I have 3 ds's ..so think I might wrap them up individually with a spoof bottle ..and do lucky dip in a box !

bizzey · 08/10/2021 18:36

Also arrived today was the diamond art picture from Amazon.
Word of warning :
Absolutely no good for those whose eyesight is getting older !

I was going cross eyed just looking at it !
I haven't opened it yet ,but from the rattle ,it sounds like it is going to need individual bags/boxes for the 24 ....yes 24 different colours of diamonds!

bizzey · 08/10/2021 18:37

I will try and take a picture if anyone wants .
It just came rolled up in plastic .

@user1466167893

Does anyone have any recommendations for bath foam please? My DM and DMIL both still have baths frequently. I'm lingering over Molton Brown but I am not sure either would appreciate its cost so I'm thinking of maybe something cheaper and building up some sort of hamper with nice creams etc.
I got some Scottish fine soap bath milk in tk maxx last week, it's in a glass bottle so feels luxe but was about a fiver, there was a Scottish fine soaps deal on one of the earlier threads too, they also do Bath soak powder in tins which look good as gifts

Tk maxx also had boxes of those soaps that look like flower petals which if you are doing a hamper would look good.
@Lovemusic33 I'm hmmm'd and haaa'd about the velvitiser for a year and finally but the bullet a few months ago.... I use it a lot. It works with non dairy milk and we use not just for hot chocolate but for heating milk for coffee too. You can use other brands of hot chocolate with it and yes they do vegan in the packs you can buy from them. It tastes lovely I do however use other brands to keep the cost down.
I have bought one for my husband for his bday in November. Could you please recommend a non HC brand hot choc please

They sound amazing think I’ll look for them on my next visit, my Dad loves fudge.
DoucheCanoe · 08/10/2021 19:09

@bizzey, I do diamond art at work (I'm care worker not pro diamond artist 😂) and can confirm that it takes a lot of organisation!

It's a bit like paint by numbers so you need to separate each colour, we use thread storage boxes from b&m, then dip the sticky stick thing in and place them in the teeny tiny grooves on the picture... It's really addictive once you get going Grin

Dreamingofwalden · 08/10/2021 19:09

@InDreamland and @psuedocream3 congratulations on your new arrivals. Lovely news.

Whoever gave the heads up re: Sparks thank you! We are going away for Christmas with my family so I got matching pjs for the littles.

DoucheCanoe · 08/10/2021 19:10

Bettys of Harrogate have 10% off over £70 spend with Autumn10. They have some lovely Xmas hampers and some can be internationally delivered with names day delivery. I think they are much nicer than the Fortums ones :)

Bryna · 08/10/2021 19:17

Has anyone got any suggestions for my DD(15) please? She would like some 'world food' kits, does anybody know some good places to look? TIA

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 08/10/2021 19:22

bizzey · 08/10/2021 19:27

@DoucheCanoe thank you.
I have opened it now ,..and it does seem to come with little bags and a tray .
It is for Ds(20) who is into art.
He is going to study in the USA after Christmas , SSO it looks an easy thing to pack .
No grooves/dents on this one .
Just flat sticky surface .
I presume it needs to be kept flat once work has started on it ?
It's a novelty stocking filler...so it should be ok !

clpsmum · 08/10/2021 19:27

@Bryna try the Spicery legend kits they are on sale too just now
