Funkin cocktail mixers are down to £3 in Morrisons. Could be good adult stocking filler? Just add ice and alcohol and shake. The Passionfruit Martini one is particularly good.

Does anyone have any recommendations for bath foam please? My DM and DMIL both still have baths frequently. I'm lingering over Molton Brown but I am not sure either would appreciate its cost so I'm thinking of maybe something cheaper and building up some sort of hamper with nice creams etc.

XiCi · 08/10/2021 15:28

Badedas is a lovely bath foam user or L'Occitane, though I think that might be MB price.

Just check the due by dates on these. We bought some last year in Dec for Xmas and they were out of date for Xmas day as they're fresh fruit pulp. I'm not sure I they're all the same but the one we bought was.

NeedMoreTea · 08/10/2021 15:35

I've signed up to the Entertainer's birthday club with a future date in 3 weeks. I'm now getting lots of marketing emails from them but no money off voucher. I'm wondering if I've done something wrong?

Clarabellybutton · 08/10/2021 15:36

@XiCi Just checked the Funkin cocktail mixers that I bought and they all have a sell by date of June 2022. Not that they will even last to Christmas in this house.....Thanks for the heads up though, as I didn't even think about checking the sell-by dates.

I have a neom diffuser - not sure what it does that others don’t as I don’t have any other ones, but the water reservoir is quite big so lasts a while, feels balanced and not like the the cat will tip it up, has an automatic shut off if the water gets low and you can do it for one or two hours automatically. It also has a nice light that you can have on. I had discounts and vouchers when I got it.

XiCi · 08/10/2021 15:39

That's good Clarabellybutton. I must have annoyingly just been sent a short dated one with my online shop.

XiCi · 08/10/2021 15:40

OK, that sounds exactly like the one I have Martinisarebetterdirty so thanks for that. Save me splashing out on the Neom.

Nigel slater the Christmas chronicles in store at W H Smiths is marked up as down to £9 but scanned at £6. Bargain! - I really want to get my hands on one of these but they are still £20 on the WH Smith website. I looked in our local branch and a lovely chap said the system showed one in stock but could we find it anywhere - of course not! He even hunted through boxes of random deliveries for me. To be fair, our local branch is like a jumble sale at the best of times. Hoping to make it to a larger branch tomorrow.

Congratulations @psuedocream3 enjoy those newborn cuddles!

CommanderBurnham · 08/10/2021 15:50

@IggyAce try Rituals. Better priced but still a bit of a luxury

user1493494961 · 08/10/2021 15:52

Many congratulations @psuedocream3

Picked up my nutcracker rug today- I love it! It's much longer than I thought it would be, I've put it down for a while so the creases hopefully fall out as it comes rolled. They also had one with sausage dogs on and another with Gonks/gnomes I think.

Just a word of warning, I purchased a Neom diffuser last year and it's fantastic, the girl that sits next to me ordered one from M&S - I think it was £29, and she had to return it 3 times as it would just stop working after a few hours, in the end she got a refund.

On the lookout for a football net for my soon to be 7yr old. I'm thinking more of a solid traditional type to leave outside rather than a pop up one. Has anyone seen any bargains or could recommend one?

PenguinTattoo · 08/10/2021 16:16

I got the m&s diffuser a while back and perhaps I was just lucky, but so far it works fine. 🙂
Just added the White Company Winter scent to it so now my house smells Christmas-y.

Lovemusic33 · 08/10/2021 16:27

Just got a email from hotel chocolate with £20 off a £80 spend, wondering if the velvetiser is worth the money? Also does it work with non dairy milk and do they do a vegan hot chocolate? 🤔

FluffyFluffMonster · 08/10/2021 16:34

I've have a oil diffuser from Oliver bonas and it's great! You can change the timer for 1,2 or 3 hours. It has different light colours you can pick and lets of a lot of steam compared with my DD cheaper one so smells stronger. It's £45 too

MissCherryCakeyBun · 08/10/2021 16:45

@Lovemusic33 I'm hmmm'd and haaa'd about the velvitiser for a year and finally but the bullet a few months ago.... I use it a lot. It works with non dairy milk and we use not just for hot chocolate but for heating milk for coffee too. You can use other brands of hot chocolate with it and yes they do vegan in the packs you can buy from them. It tastes lovely I do however use other brands to keep the cost down.

I got the m&s diffuser for Christmas last year from my husband. He didn't check inside the box and it was broken - we replaced it but the staff said it had happened a lot. I really rate it though - sounds exactly like the neom one. I use less drops of the oils than it recommends as I found it overpowering.

Word of warning if you have pets, check the essential oils you use as some aren't safe for pets. I believe the m&s one with the diffuser is safe.

50% off in Mountain Warehouse sale. Scored a winter coat for me and good quality ski socks and underlayers for outdoorsy dd2 and her bf. Saved a fortune.

FoolShapeHeart · 08/10/2021 17:28

Does anyone know of any House of Fraser codes? They seem to be unicorn poop 🙏

Someaddedsugar · 08/10/2021 17:35

Not a bargain as such but Prezzee is a brilliant website that gives you the ability to buy a gift card that you then swap for various brands (eg Costa, John Lewis etc) - it's not as limited as the Love2Shop and similar versions, and also offers the ability to swap for multiple smaller denomination vouchers.

We have been through lots of goals with 2 football mad boys and we have a forza one which has lasted really well for the amount of use it gets. Not the cheapest but has outlasted the cheaper ones by at least a year. Decathlon ones have also lasted well in the past
