Morrisons have just released the Christmas slots for food to order. I've just had a look, a bit disappointed really, but book now If you want a slot.

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 06/10/2021 13:27

@BlueisthenewGrey do you mean the collect in store slots?

BlueisthenewGrey · 06/10/2021 13:34

Yes, the Christmas food is live my.morrisons.com/foodtoorder/brochure

mogtheexcellent · 06/10/2021 13:36

Not a bargain but a popular item last year was christmas puzzles. This one went down very well with my inlaws. This new one also has gold foil so a bit special looking. I have ordered several of different christmas Gailson ones as presents this year.
@Jedstre I have loads of stuff in my basket on Amazon and check it a couple of times a day - it'll tell you if any prices have changed. You can also set up alerts on Camel Camel Camel, or some people might follow pages that report bargains.

Speaking of which, if anyone is buying for a frozen fan there's an Anna doll for £6.50 on Amazon. Good price!

Half price Anna doll
Ohh thanks for the Anna doll link.

Any recommendations for Frozen things my DD is just getting into it now. I think she’s like dolls like the Anna one. Does it matter if it’s frozen 2 rather than 1? Do they do matching Olaf and the reindeer at all. Any bargains please let me know thanks.

Loving this thread still thank you

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 06/10/2021 14:08

The only difference would be the outfits, Anna's is quite similar, but Elsa's is quite different.

Toysforapound has some frozen stationery.

My dds used to like the soft dolls from the disney store if you can find an offer . Or their classic dolls are lovely (barbie sized), often go on offer closer to Christmas. They also do mini animator cases with little dolls and accessories, mine loved them when they were younger.

Also maybe dressing up? We had sainsburys costumes which were great quality.

Number109 · 06/10/2021 14:10

@StopGoQuitStart my 5 year old is frozen mad (she’d never heard of it or had any princess tendencies until she started school last year!). She has the singing Anna and Elsa dolls but it’s the same song over and over so I can’t recommend! There’s some lovely dress up bits in Sainsbury’s, my DD has an Elsa dress already but I’ve bought her the ice queen dress up from frozen 2 for Xmas as well as frozen pjs and dressing gown.
How old is your DD? Frozen Lego is good and can be used as normal Lego if/when she outgrows frozen. There are some nice frozen themed board games too. My DDs favourite things are her build a bear Olaf (only used build a bear as it’s the best resemblance, it doesn’t have the heart and voice thing) and her frozen bath toys.

I have just received my turtle doves wrist warmer package. They are gorgeous and I am wishing I had ordered more! I got them when there was a link posted here that made then come out at £13 each. Does anyone remember the code? Is it still valid?

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts and @Number109 thank you both for such a quick reply. Lots of great ideas there. Dd is 4.5 so similar age. Good idea re the dress up l look in Sainburys. I’m not sure if she’s notice the different outfits. We’ve not really watched the films much more listening to music and books. I’ll def NOT be getting the signing dolls WinkGrin although I think dolls will appeal

hoolahoola22 · 06/10/2021 14:28

Can anyone help me with gift ideas for my dad and his gf, in their 60s they like going out and about so i was thinking of an experience like a Thames cruise or something is that a bit shit? Anyone booked an experience before?

Oliveandsage · 06/10/2021 14:37

@hoolahoola22 I bought my parents a sunday lunch Thames cruise a few years ago - there was music on board (think a jazz musician or similar) and it went down really well! Pretty sure I bought it from Virgin Experiences

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 06/10/2021 14:51

Does anyone have any posh chocolate shops ideas - I usually do a bulk order from Hotel Chocolat but I wondered if anyone had any recommendations? It would be for adults presents

Comefromaway · 06/10/2021 14:57

Lladerach is very expensive but goodness it's gorgeous.

Number109 · 06/10/2021 15:41

@StopGoQuitStart my friend bought dobble last year for my DD and both girls love it so I’ve bought frozen dobble this year!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 06/10/2021 15:54

@StopGoQuitStart Character.com do Frozen (and Frozen 2!) clothes, shoes etc. If you sign up to their newsletter they give you 10% off your first order - they have random discounts throughout the year as well.

Haudyourwheesht · 06/10/2021 15:54

@StopGoQuitStart My girls (2 and 5) got this Frozen castle last year and play with it almost every day. It's very sturdy, lights up and plays music.

DoucheCanoe · 06/10/2021 15:55

@StopGoQuitStart, not sure if it's still available but we got Pop up Olaf (like Pop up Pirate) around that age and it still gets played with every now and again 4 years later!

5Minions2CallMyOwn · 06/10/2021 16:07

I had to Google what dobble was as I’m clueless and have never heard of it! Looks like so much fun- what’s the best place to buy it from please? Thanks

Harry Potter dobble is £8.99 on Amazon- does that seem like a good price?
