@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl

Olive & Sage have their £19 sale on some home & garden items, including the fairy houses which were popular last year - the DC loved theirs!
I ordered from them on September 15th, my items are still not here despite them saying 5-7 day dispatch. Not yet dispatched 😞
coolpattern · 05/10/2021 19:53

A few years ago there was a recommended website for Japanese sweets and drinks, can anyone recommend/suggest somewhere? The more bargainous the better obvs!

SpamIAm · 05/10/2021 19:56

@TheBigFish I got a leopard print gin glass in Tesco this week for £3 - clear glass with gold leopard print.

Asda is worth a look as well, they always have beautiful glasses!

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts

Pokémon Battle Academy down to £15.00 - lowest ever price according to CCC. Really good deal for those getting interested in Pokemon.
Thank you @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts, DS will love this.
NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 05/10/2021 20:00

I imagine most of you have used craft gin club in the past for their intro deal but at the moment they are doing first two months for £20 each. Super easy to cancel and you get a full sized unusual gin plus other stuff so would make a good gift for £20 (or for yourself)
People have referral codes on referral thread for deal. I’ve been a member for years but am tempted to set up account in DH name to see if I can get deal.

Re: the Diamond Painting Owl (I think it was an owl) previously mentioned. There are some cute Diamond Painting Wreaths and keyrings all over Amazon and Ebay.

NightOwl19 · 05/10/2021 20:31

@IggyAce

Amazon have a couple of tye dye sets n limited time deals this is £16.99 and you can save an extra 5% by adding the voucher.

This is £19.12.

Both look a great gift.

Have you seen any bundles of white things to go with them? T-shirts at £3 each will add up quite quickly
nightcap · 05/10/2021 20:35

Not sure if it's been mentioned but in my spam folder today i found an email from gap with a code for £15 off a £35 spend - and they have an automatically applied 30% of sale too so got a pair of jeans and three pairs of breathe underwear for about £20 (full price allegedly £72). Worth checking junk mail for!

TheCrow · 05/10/2021 20:45

@coolpattern I found orientalmart have really good prices for Japanese snacks and drinks

SpamIAm · 05/10/2021 20:53

I don't suppose you can buy previous boxes from the Craft Gin Club? I don't really like the look of this months...can always hold out for November of course!

whoknows1230 · 05/10/2021 20:56

@NightOwl19 I bought packs of three plain white t-shirts from Tu which were £4 or £5 per pack, depending on the size.

Onlyahalfbottle · 05/10/2021 20:57

Does anyone have this monstrosity and can recommend it or warn me off? DS4 has seen the advert for it and his eyes lit up, it's a dinosaur robot with a remote control so I'm sure he'll love it but for how long? Any alternative recommendations would be gratefully received!

We don't have this specific one but ds4 had for his birthday 'blaster the velociraptor' from this range and loved it - transforms between Dino and helicopter and he manages with very little help

If you order now, you'd most likely get this month's. Or they do sell the gins at a later date. There are referral codes on the referral thread. Gin
Onlyahalfbottle · 05/10/2021 21:08

@Jfw82 thank you, I think I'll order it then, it sounds like it should be easy enough for him to use and he'll love it.

evtheria · 05/10/2021 21:10

Thank you to all who have given great ideas for story CDs - especially the detailed ones including ‘as read by’, etc. Star

@coolpattern ive used blippo for kawaii stationary..but they sell lots of Japanese sweets and drinks. Ive orders from them a few times and always comes well packed and quicker than I expect it to!
Greenhand · 05/10/2021 21:14

Any ideas for non-girly dreamcatchers for a teen boy - have been asked for one. A bit goth would be good

Fedupofmagic · 05/10/2021 21:16

@Greenhand try looking for Anne stokes designs. Have a lot with wolves, dragons etc. Goth vibes and not overtly girly at all

Fedupofmagic · 05/10/2021 21:19

Not ALL are overtly girly. Some are, realised I'd missed an important word there...

Moonshine5 · 05/10/2021 21:20

@coolpattern
@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts
I've ordered loads from blippo too, even during lockdown- great service and decent prices

flower11 · 05/10/2021 21:21

My son has some of the smaller switch and go dinos, he got them when 3 and is still playing with them at nearly 6. They have lasted well and are easy to transform. They say various phrases with a really annoying fake American accent though

Restlessinthenorth · 05/10/2021 21:26

Thanks for sharing about craft gin club. Just treated myself....

RicherThanYew · 05/10/2021 21:30

Did anybody else notice the writing on the Scottish Hampers website that mentioned 2019 hampers? Do we think they're legit before I get a bit spendhappy?

chillimice · 05/10/2021 21:38

Thanks so much for the book shop recommendations @Beringer - www.storytree.co.uk had some lovely classics for £1.99!

@coolpattern the other place you could try online is tofu cute
