If anyone is looking for books, I can recommend
www.mystorytree.co.uk/
They have children's books at £1.99 each
www.thereadingtree.co.uk/
They have books for adults and children for £2.50 each. All books on both sites are brand new.

Raindancer411 · 05/10/2021 15:09

Also my son has been asking for this game which is usually around 26.99. Found it on a site called base.com for 22.85

Thanks for the heads up on the lightning deal pjs and the diamond painting kit.

I love Djeco brand for gifts. I think it is really good quality too. The red scratch off kit in particular is gorgeous.

thaegumathteth · 05/10/2021 15:59

Thanks @UseForYou

TheRosariojewels · 05/10/2021 16:14

Goldenphoenix · 05/10/2021 16:49

@PhantomErik older kids and grown ups I think. Know lots of adults who love diamond painting, it's a bit too hard for my 8 year old so I think maybe age 10 upwards?

Notlongnow1 · 05/10/2021 16:52

@17caterpillars1mouse

What about this one Half price. Not used the site before.

RJnomore1 · 05/10/2021 16:53

What happened last year? I only found these threads this year and I'm intrigued.

GrinGrin. Not another Scottish hamper fiasco Grin
Justonedayatatime11 · 05/10/2021 17:00

I did look at the hampers website and have a moment of horror! Is it the same one reincarnated?!

HoHoJ0 · 05/10/2021 17:09

I’ve just been stuck under a feeding baby and was doing a bit of digging as I too recall the hamper horror of 2019. This entrepreneurial young guy set up a company called Highland Gift Company. He sold loads of hampers on an early bird preorder deal. They should’ve been £20 but we bought them for £12 ish. Anyway, it got closer and closer to Christmas and they didn’t materialise but everybody started getting full refunds. It was all very strange. My favourite theory is that he sold the hampers to get what was essentially an interest free loan and bought loads of drugs to sell!

Haha, no, this is not that Scottish Hampers site! This is one I've used several times before going back to 2017 with no issues at all. (Which is why I didn't bother with the one last time that turned out to be dodgy because I already had my reliable supply of Scottish tablet and Dundee cake!)
Maranello · 05/10/2021 17:12

Ranked "great" on TrustPilot, in case you think I'm a dodgy hamper purveyor in disguise Grin

HoHoJ0 · 05/10/2021 17:14

Sorry, I should’ve added that the website for the company recommended above list their address as in Scotland whereas the scam guy was in Wales.

Notlongnow1 · 05/10/2021 17:21

2 years ago, sorry!

So much drama we had a new thread especially to track the arrival (or not!) of the hampers. Spoiler alert - none arrived!

According to Company House, that company was dissolved at the beginning of this year... so fingers crossed new Scottish hampers are legit!
