If anyone is thinking of sending a cake card from sponge.com that pps mentioned there's a Groupon voucher that takes the cost down to £5.99 from £10.50. It's only valid until the end of November, although I'm not sure if that's the last date you can order or the last day you can get it delivered....if you see what I mean.
I sent one last week, and the recipient said that it was fabulous.

Looking for inspiration and recommendations for gifts for 7 year old and 4.5 year old girls please. Budget about £15 each and usually try to go for something to make/craft kit/ consumables as I don't really know what toys
they have. Many thanks.

Yeknom · 05/10/2021 08:24

Thanks @Ourlady I'll be sure to pop in and buy a couple! x

MsMiaWallace · 05/10/2021 08:39

Thanks for the Pokemon battle game heads up.
Was looking at this in b&m at £22 & almost bought.
£15 is great price!

Ewock · 05/10/2021 08:50

Thanks for the Pokemon battle academy. My ds saw it at the weekend but at £21.99 I thought a bit pricey, £15 is amazing. Getting their with presents now.

Does anyone remember the miniature perfume/aftershave sets that you used to be able to get as a gift to try which included a voucher for a big bottle of the one that you liked? Does anywhere still do this type of thing? Been having a google but can only find miniature sets.

Sallyrush · 05/10/2021 09:02

Does anyone have any beauty site codes pls. I’m after a new MAC face powder. TIA x

Just ordered this 96 Crayola Crayon set with built in sharpener for my 3 year old for Christmas, reduced to £6.90. Bit of nostalgia, I remember getting a similar set as a kid and it was one of my most favourite Christmas presents ever.

I’m not sure if this has already been asked I’m struggling to keep up but does anyone know tonieboxes or figures ever go on sale/ offer a code ? Dds grandad passed away but they used to go to Asda every weekend and he’d bought her nearly every Julia Donaldson book going so I’d love to get her those figures with it .. £100 seems a bit steep though when I said I was done for Xmas 🙈

MeredithGreyishblue · 05/10/2021 09:24

The Amazon Fire 7 Kid Pro is on the Treasure Truck today at £54.99

Might get lower on Black Friday though, I dunno

Billyandemily · 05/10/2021 09:38

Tonies discount simplysolovely.co.uk/products/gruffalo-tonie?_pos=13&_sid=f2424e758&_ss=r use code welcome15 for 15%off

psuedocream3 · 05/10/2021 09:39

@Picklesbaby I know it's not quite what you asked but I just bought a Yoto Player which is very similar but does alot more for the moneys worth and will last them longer in terms of age suitability after being recommended it on a previous Christmas thread on here. They do lots of Julia Donaldson cards, a greater selection than the Tonie Box and the cards are about half the price of the tonies. I used a referal code to get an extra 10% off too. I can send you my referal if you wanted a 10% off too if you like.

Billyandemily · 05/10/2021 09:39

@Picklesbaby sorry forgot to tag you for above tonies offer x

DearMrDilkington · 05/10/2021 09:42

Has anyone ever bought one of those build your own den kits that The Works sell? I'm debating getting one as a joint gift for dc but struggling to work out if it's any good or a waste of money..

Carrotca · 05/10/2021 09:47

Smiffys have 25% off, think it's just Halloween stuff? Just tried and worked on my order, which isn't necessarily halloween. (Tiger costume?!) TT25 is the code x

EverybodyKeepCool · 05/10/2021 09:48

For those hard to buy for people I came across this. They also do Christmas Dinner pasties
www.cornwallhamperstore.co.uk/products/copy-of-the-cornish-dessert-box

Namechangesagain · 05/10/2021 09:58

@DearMrDilkington we found it rubbish. Very flimsy and hard to put together

Changingagain · 05/10/2021 10:04

@DearMrDilkington we have two, I'd say one isn't enough. They're quite flimsy and won't take heavier blankets etc. but work well with bed sheets. My 6 year old still needs a lot of help with it as it needs quite a bit of hand strength to attach the poles to the balls and you need to make sure there's enough bars to support it. I don't think they're great but the kids love them. I'm sure I paid £15 for the two sets a couple of years ago and I'd say it was a very good price for the amount of play.

Sallyrush · 05/10/2021 10:05

@ DearMrDilkington. It is flimsy but mine enjoyed it and my youngest (5) likes to make shapes and patterns out of it. He’s actually used it more than we thought but not nec as a den. He also likes fighting with the plastic sticks which we aren’t so keen on 😂

RainbowPhilosophy · 05/10/2021 10:07
