What are your 8/9 yo girls asking for?

Dd is 8 she was really into lols and dolls but has outgrown them now. When I ask what toys she would like she doesn’t know.
She loves fidgit toys and poppets.
I’m looking for some inspiration

DD1 is 9 and has asked for a Harry Potter hoodie she saw the other day.
I also got her some Harry Potter bedding that was in the sale.
DD2 is 8.
The only thing they've both asked for is a glitter tattoo kit.

DD will be 9 by Christmas. She wants

-heelys
-harry potter Lego
-bath bombs/ body spray from Lush.

Last year she got a cheap version of a KitchenAid. She loves it and still uses it all the time.

Like yours this is the first year lols havnt been top of the list for a long time. My 9yo wants a switch and fidget toys, she got a hoverboard with go kart attachment for her birthday, my 7yo got one too. My 7yo wants an invisibility cloak and gamesmaster book.

I’ve got lots of Harry Potter stuff, different shaped pop it’s, oodies (just cheaper Amazon ones), zamfam nighties

It took my dd a couple of months to get the hang of getting around on her skateboard. She rides around the village. She can do a couple of simple tricks learnt from you tube, but we don't have a skate park nearby.

We gave her a skate ramp for her last birthday which hasn't gone down so well and never got much use, but perhaps it isn't a particularly good one.

Nearly 9 y o DD wants a Switch, Harry Potter Lego and a hamster. Oh and a mini gumball machine apparently.

There’s a possibility of a Switch (though it’s more than I’d usually spend on a Christmas present) - but not so much of a hamster. I can’t stand the bitey little sods 😂

I bought my 4yo a mini gum ball machine from flying tiger yesterday, it was £5 or £6 and is actually quite good. I bought a bigger more expensive one a couple of years ago and it was rubbish, all the sweets just kept pouring out of it.

Omg just looked that up it looks disgusting, I’m surprised none of mine have asked for it, they usually jump on anything poop related 🤢.

Last year my soon to be 9 year old at that time got a instax maxx camera with all the accessories with scrapbook and she loved it.

Also lots of make and do things like science kits, slime sets, bath bomb, Graffiti and jumanji boardgame to name a few

DD (8) has asked for

A skateboard
A multi tool
A tiger cub (we’ll adopt one and get her a token toy version)
An art case (wooden one, with pencils, etc)

I’m also thinking of getting her a mini waffle maker (coming soon to Lakeland) and a couple of those “little people, big dreams” books

She loves STEM type activities, she’s played with her circuit kit lots and she’s always eyeballing my “grown up” card making stuff, which she’s never been allowed to play with, as she’s not very restrained with extensive stuff 😂😂
I know someone who sells lovely monthly crafty subscription boxes, but she sells them as one offs too. They’re intended for adults, but DD loves mine, lots of little packages to open, so I may get her one of those

My dd is 8, still loves the LOL dolls and lego. Moved from the friends kits to Harry Potter now.

However we have decided to do more experience based stuff this year. So Harry potter world in the snow (sooooo not for me at all) and renewing her annual pass to the local wildlife place, along with along with staples of clothes and stationary

DD just turned 8 would like (in no particular order)

Id also like one for my 8year old but the kids ones in the shops are the crap hair that doesn't even brush

I've ordered from shein. Got her a selection of different ones.

Or if you want to stick to UK companies toysforapound have quite a few. Or the works have a fidget bumper pack I think. My dds favourite is the simple dimple, tangle and poppers.

This is the same type im looking at with the tripod!

Mine wants roller skates (not blades), and circus skill stuff (plate spinning, diablo etc).

All mine has asked for is a bat detection kit 🦇
