Dd is 8 she was really into lols and dolls but has outgrown them now. When I ask what toys she would like she doesn’t know.
She loves fidgit toys and poppets.
I’m looking for some inspiration

Any ideas for board games for 9yr old dd ?!

Hive and Tatsu are dd1's favourites (she's 10, but they have been favourites for more than a year).

Dd2 is 8, coming up to 9 at Christmas. Her favourites are Labyrinth and Takenoko.

My 8 year old doesn’t really play with toys anymore and she is a nightmare to buy for!

So far she has Blockus, a cuddle cushion from tkmaxx, fidgets toys from Ali express, crafty stuff like air dry clay and diamond painting kit.

Things Im thinking of getting her: second hand Xbox (she loves playing minecraft and roblox) bean bag, an Alexa, Uno.

Oh we also play the logo game, scrabble, cluedo and monopoly when we go to grandparents. Sometimes she's on a team or we play individually.

My dd is 9, her favourite games are,
Catventures, payday, dobble, exploding kittens, the dog game, no more llamas. Ive got her a classic game compendium for Christmas, might buy a few more as she loves a game!

I bought my 4yo a mini gum ball machine from flying tiger yesterday, it was £5 or £6 and is actually quite good. I bought a bigger more expensive one a couple of years ago and it was rubbish, all the sweets just kept pouring out of it.

Ooh thank you, that's good to know @ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS - I'm hoping to pop in to Tiger later this week!

One of the things I love about the Christmas threads is it shows how diverse our children are.

@FrankiesKnuckle

All mine has asked for is a bat detection kit 🦇

Omg a bat detection kit is such a good idea, we have some that fly around in the summer over our garden! (Well presumably they’re there in the winter, too 😂 🦇)

@Bitofachinwag

What kind of fidget toys are buying?

I've ordered from shein. Got her a selection of different ones.

Or if you want to stick to UK companies toysforapound have quite a few. Or the works have a fidget bumper pack I think. My dds favourite is the simple dimple, tangle and poppers.

DD just turned 8 would like (in no particular order)

Rainbow high doll
Rainbow high doll clothing
More bloody fidgets
A dog (she is highly allergic!)
Lego
A car (as in a real one, preferable with a "take off roof)
Clothes, lots of clothes

So far I've bought her online skates 🤦‍♀️

My dd is 8, still loves the LOL dolls and lego. Moved from the friends kits to Harry Potter now.

However we have decided to do more experience based stuff this year. So Harry potter world in the snow (sooooo not for me at all) and renewing her annual pass to the local wildlife place, along with along with staples of clothes and stationary
