@AnotherOne4, thank you for introducing us to something that sounded so wrong in the thread title. Also loved the review you shared:
‘ Not only is it decorative, but also quite heavy. If you had intruders you could take them down with this also. Multipurpose’

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@Laney79 I haven’t seen a whole set as such but I did similar using a lovely canvas box I had for dd. I got some good inexpensive outfits in b&m (knight, doctor, vet, dinosaur), a nice policeman outfit in Sainsburys and then looked in supermarkets for random items (go for her she loved hats so got big summer hats in sales, ribbons etc). It’s a good time to look for basics in supermarkets form the summer eg cowboy hats, funky summer hats etc. Then I think it was poundshop had animal masks, a clip on tail etc. Amazon for a doctors outfit and explorers vest. This was a good few years ago but idea is there. Or if want little more upmarket Mellisa & Doug brand so good non-branded outfits like firemen etc.

This smart plug is £7.99 on Amazon just now - I don't have one but it looks a good deal and has good reviews

@MydeamonsanOstrich I know you said she's not techy but would an Echo Show (I think that's what they're called) be better as it has more use?

sorryiasked · 27/09/2021 15:53

@Iknownothing was it this one?

Thanks for the candy kittens info

@MydeamonsanOstrich have you looked at frameo? You can send photos direct to it and they just appear on the screen - my mum has one and as we all live across the country we can all send photos direct to it for her to see .

thaegumathteth · 27/09/2021 16:32

@MydeamonsanOstrich the 8" one is 75.99 on Amazon just now with a further £5 voucher box too

SpamIAm · 27/09/2021 16:47

My DD started school this month and has just had her first party invite ☺️ apparently the birthday girl likes unicorns (don't they all) so after a nice unicorn-themed gift for ideally around £5. She'll be 5! Thanks :)

Minionbums · 27/09/2021 16:49

We got my dad a video Alexa and we have got his login details so we can send photos to it. Not the same as a photo frame but he uses an Alexa for other things so it made sense to combine the two.

Minionbums · 27/09/2021 16:53

Bought a load of stocking fillers today.

Claire’s had 3 for £5 in their sale, anything with a red sticker of £5 or less including Frozen stuff. Got hairbands, clip on earrings, paper-style fans, a blind box each, that sort of thing.

Smiggle had an offer on, 5 items for £5… but because there’s 25% off sale prices it worked out 5 for £3.75. Includes pens, spy pens, erasable pens, rubbers, sharpeners, goo.

Haudyourwheesht · 27/09/2021 16:54

@UrbanMage There were autumn wreaths in Primark today.

thaegumathteth · 27/09/2021 16:55

@SpamIAm this is £3.99 on Amazon and you could get a packet of sweets to go with it?

@Laney79 tkmax had some dressing up stuff when we popped in at the weekend. Didn’t look closely at it so unsure if it would be what you want

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 27/09/2021 17:24

@spamiam The Works have some games out at 2 for £10 today when I went in. They had this too.

unicorn operation game

I agree with windows1 re the digital photo frame; I’d only get one if she’s mentioned that she’d like one as we were given one but have never used it. I prefer to print photos out too - the children love looking through the albums and we never look at the digital copies (that I do keep).

Re dressing up stuff, Melissa and Doug used to do two boxes filled with different hats. We had both and they were great. I got them cheap from a discount store that I discovered on here (I forget the name) but they’ve since closed down their website which is a shame as they were great. Here’s one I’ve found on eBay after a quick search www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Melissa-doug-role-play-hats-/184956849849?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=Cj0KCQjw18WKBhCUARIsAFiW7JxOk0qPBd7Gfw4BvLuF4kyxpe9LZe2NVfNloPYTj2989dXQpsH_Ps4aAoIUEALw_wcB

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 27/09/2021 17:28

@thaegumathteth thanks for the frameo suggestion - I think that sounds perfect for my dad who is impossible to shop for!

TheCrow · 27/09/2021 17:37

@SpamIAm if you're near a Claire's they have their 3 for £5 sale on and ours had plenty of unicorn bits in

SpamIAm · 27/09/2021 17:44

Thank you for all the unicorn ideas! Will get my daughter to choose one later :)
