@AnotherOne4, thank you for introducing us to something that sounded so wrong in the thread title. Also loved the review you shared:
‘ Not only is it decorative, but also quite heavy. If you had intruders you could take them down with this also. Multipurpose’

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@MahMahMahMahCorona

I have been following these fantastic threads since July when they started out with nutcracker diffusers, Christmas tree tins of tea lights and Brussels sprouts ketchup. All of which I have in my drawers. Seeing the prices of each item today I'm pleased that I bought in bulk. All (wider) family members are now sorted.

Now I need to think for DC11 & DC10 - stockings and main presents. They are Pokémon MAD so I bought four booster packs from ALDI when they were discussed on these threads a couple of weeks back. Also have four bottles of child's farm coming and will add toothpaste / brush heads / pants / socks to stockings.

Any ideas for big tree presents / stocking fillers would be most appreciated. Thank you!

Just me imagining a massive pair of pants stuffed with nutcracker diffusers, tins of tea lights and sprout ketchup then?! Grin

Can anyone recommend a pokemon Nintendo switch game? DD has asked for one but there’s loads! Not sure which one is best

happytobemrsg · 25/09/2021 19:35

@MarshmallowsOnToast what are the dates like on the syrups from Amazon? That’s always my worry

MydeamonsanOstrich · 25/09/2021 19:39

On an earlier thread people were discussing gonk merchandise. There were a few gonk things in The Range today, including this gonk paint your own mug for £3.99

Sword & Shield both decent. How old is DD?

You can 10 percent off Halfords if you are an AA member, and can get a £20 voucher if you take out insurance through the confused website if you have any due

Minionbums · 25/09/2021 19:52

To those who mentioned Rose’s tins…. It’s a Cath Kidston tin this year, I got one from Tesco earlier! @TheGirlWhoLived, the books I got included two National Trust books - Comfort Food and Scones - a Nadiya Hussain book, some Usborne Sticker Dolly Dressing Books, Fingerprint art. I can’t believe the stuff they had. The guy said come Christmas you can’t get near his stall. I hope you get good stuff too!

@MeredithGreyishblue she’ll be 11 next month. Preferably one that is 2/4 players

escapeyou · 25/09/2021 20:21

[quote xmasdealhunter]@escapeyou we've got these slushy cups (bought in the summer) and they are pretty decent, the top review explains how to properly use them. I wouldn't bother with one of the plug in machines x

Thanks for link to personalised Quality street.
Decided to look for other personalised gifts, saw on Etsy personalised Nutella labels that you can stick on jars you just buy in supermarket which helps keep cost down.

Does anybody have any ideas for an 11 year old girl?? I can't think of a single thing that she would like! 😩

Motherofplants · 25/09/2021 21:04

Sorry to go off topic, but can anyone recommend little mini shortbread like that in the M&S Halloween tin set? I have a food averse almost 3 year old and this is his first new acceptable food in more than 6 months 😳 I need more until I can convince him that normal shortbread is the same Grin

TwinsandTrifle · 25/09/2021 21:14

Are they that bad? Mine are set on the carrera make that only halfords do, as all their mates have them

All their mates possibly have them as they're more affordable. They are really weighty, and I think even at a reasonable cost, pretty overpriced for such heavy bikes. Also recommend frog as PP for a younger teen, although the street cred probably isn't there with frog for much over 13yrs. We went for (can't remember the exact name now) something like a "Trek Specialised" on Black Friday and got what should have been a £600 bike for £374. The carreras are around £300 I think, and the difference is significant. DS friends are constantly riding his, because it's so light and it looks so much cooler.

I guess it depends how set DS is on having the same as his friends, but I'd strongly advise against the bikes from Halfords.

Most of the supermarkets do mini rounds in the bakery section, not sure if they would do

The 11-year-olds I know are in to crystals/rocks/geodes, stuff to decorate their rooms, hot chocolate, jewellery and accessories.

Do they like any of those things? If so, could think of more specifics

Chocolateemergency · 25/09/2021 21:36

@PoirotAndHisMoustache that would be great if you don’t mind?
