@AnotherOne4, thank you for introducing us to something that sounded so wrong in the thread title. Also loved the review you shared:
‘ Not only is it decorative, but also quite heavy. If you had intruders you could take them down with this also. Multipurpose’

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Short link failure! Hopefully this attempt works

Peppa Pig Clever Car

IggyAce · 25/09/2021 06:21

@Chocolateemergency it seems a good price, a quick check and it’s around £12-£13 for a basic pull & go car and Smyths are charging £24.99 for the clever car.

WhereTheresAHill · 25/09/2021 06:29

@Famousthehero I got 25% off if you want to try that if there’s something you want 8O637O3

Ahh thanks @WhereTheresAHill Flowers - I'm trying to stick to a list at the moment...
If anybody else wants the above code please go for it :-)

Raindancer411 · 25/09/2021 07:08

Anyone brought a desk from Argos that wasn't bad? Want one for my son for Xmas and going to use my nectar points for it.

IamChipmunk · 25/09/2021 07:20

@ElephantandGrasshopper I have also used Chaos cards for Pokemon things. Just bought some packs, a tin and pin badge for ds last night in fact! They have some reductions at the mo.
There is a discount code for 5% off if you spend £30. Think it was 'September'.

Be careful of buying the 'bundles' on Amazon as someone has suggested, some of them are fakes.

Yes I was going to say exactly the same thing. Don't buy bulk cards from Amazon/EBay they are likely to be fakes.

We mainly use Magic Madhouse and Chaos Cards. The other week Aldi had booster boxes in for £8.99 too.

Anyone near a John Lewis this weekend, they are getting rid of last years' Christmas stock.

I picked up £4 wrap for £1.20, fill your own crackers for £2.40 and a glass monkey tree decoration for £2. They had various other bits and pieces too.

psuedocream3 · 25/09/2021 08:00

@ElephantandGrasshopper I agree, bundles are likely fake on Amazon and Facebook, I was reading alot of bad reviews of sets opened and the best cards taken and resealed from third party sellers.

My middle daughter has asked for pokemon cards, I've bought her the battle academy from Amazon, and used a £5 off code from my Amazon promo page to make it cheaper. It looks a good starter set for 2-3 players as it has 3 decks included. I'll be getting boosters to top it up when I find a decent code.

Mumto3thatsme · 25/09/2021 08:01

@Dreamingofwalden

Major bargains in Home Bargains today. Snobby playhouses were on offer. I’ve had a look around and the one for £80 seems to be £160 elsewhere. I only had a quick scout online so if apologies if it is cheaper elsewhere. The one on stilts is £384 at Argos and Amazon. I was so tempted but we have enough in our garden. There was one with damaged packaging going for £40!

There was also a Batman lair which I think someone was looking for?

Snobby playhouses nominated as thread title, think they should be smoby? 😂
Bezzi · 25/09/2021 08:06

Thanks for the Asda code and the idea about buying wine while it's got 25% off whoever that was!
Just ordered 6 bottles of champagne/Prosecco and 6 bottles of nice wine for £64.50 delivered!
Going to put them in my mums loft to make sure they last until Christmas!

Chocolateemergency · 25/09/2021 08:17

@IggyAce thank you, definitely worth buying then!

tabbycat985 · 25/09/2021 08:30

Anyone from Northern Ireland waiting for the M&S food orders to open, I got an email last week saying that they wouldn't be offering any the service this year so not to disappoint if they couldn't fufill themSad

Startaler · 25/09/2021 08:34

ElephantandGrasshopper · 25/09/2021 08:36

Thanks for all of the Pokémon card suggestions Smile

girlsyearapart · 25/09/2021 08:41

I’m really confused by the football kits.
Put one in the basket for ds filled out the printing details and it just took me back to the first page
Repeats the process same again
Woke up to two PayPal money requests sent at 2.20 am but no company name just a mans name
Doesn’t seem right

Vebrithien · 25/09/2021 08:41

Has anyone seen tins of Quality Street or Roses, on their travels? On the back of the "foods that make Christmas" thread, DH has announced that it was all about the tins of chocolates (not the plastic tubs).

I'm sure I saw tins last year, so have any been spotted out and about? Bonus points if they are on offer

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 25/09/2021 08:51

These merino socks from amazon are £10.99 for 5 pairs. They are really soft and giftable.

A huge B&M has opened near me! I'll have to go without the DCs so not today, but what should I look out for? 🎄

@girlsyearapart Thanks that does look good

DoucheCanoe · 25/09/2021 09:14

@Raindancer411 we bought the Calgary corner desk for my (then) 13yo 2 years ago and it's still going strong. It's pretty spacious and he likes the little cubby holes to organise his shite stuff.

We've dismantled and reassembled for a house move in that time too.

@Raindancer411 have you tried AOSOM and HOMCOM for desks? They sell via Amazon and their own sites, usually with a discount of around 20% available. I got this desk for my daughter just under £60 and it's by far the nicest I could find for the moneys worth and very well built. I bought through Amazon. I got all my daughters bedroom furniture from Homcom.
