@AnotherOne4, thank you for introducing us to something that sounded so wrong in the thread title. Also loved the review you shared:
‘ Not only is it decorative, but also quite heavy. If you had intruders you could take them down with this also. Multipurpose’

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@PattyPan The White Company had discounts on White Friday (as they called Black Friday) last year. I think it was a blanket 20% off everything but don’t quite me on that. I definitely got 20% off a fragrance oil as I just checked emails.

ElephantandGrasshopper · 24/09/2021 21:17

Thanks @Duckyneedsaclean

clpsmum · 24/09/2021 21:26

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile I've always just ordered the age he is if you see what I mean and they have always been true to size. So you'd probably be fine with 10-12. My DS is 11 and the ones I've ordered for Xmas are 10-12 and I'm not worried xx

spudjulia · 24/09/2021 21:26

@ElephantandGrasshopper

Is there a cheap way get Pokémon cards - my kids have asked for some but they seem very expensive. Thanks
www.chaoscards.co.uk/shop/pokemon

I've used this company to buy pokemon cards. I've pooled with other parents to buy a booster box (£100ish for 36 cards, makes the card packs about half of what they cost in the shops, great when there's a craze for Pokémon in school and plenty of parents willing to split the case with you). I've also used it to buy individual Pokémon cards, because sometimes all they want is rainbow charizard and you could buy 3600 packs and still not get the card!

PattyPan · 24/09/2021 21:40

Thanks @HoHoJ0, I'll wait until then Smile I've never bought anything on Black Friday before!

gaggiagirl · 24/09/2021 21:49

I was hoping to spend my doubled up nectar points on a habitat dining set. In fact I've saved points all year by using Sainsbury's to buy a tin of tomatoes because I get 150 bonus points for buying them.... What a waste of time. I'll just not go there now there's no real benefit to it.

Petal7 · 24/09/2021 21:54

Thank you @MerylSqueak. I've put something worth £32 in my basket, but it says it's not valid for it.

Fetchthevet · 24/09/2021 21:55

@marshmallowsontoast, @Wheretheresahill, @sorryiasked thank you for the wrapping paper recommendations x
£1 for 8 metres is a bargain!

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 24/09/2021 21:55

Awesome. Thanks @clpsmum

Famousthehero · 24/09/2021 21:58

Olli Ella (fancy basket and doll makers) have a Halloween spin to win on, although I didn't win anything Envy
Think you have to agree to their marketing emails.

Wahhh about the nectar double up. Gutted. There goes £200 worth of "free" stuff. I'm not a happy bunny.

The dunelm reindeer hoodies are good but all out of stock, or not yet in stock?

There were half price toys in my Sainsbury's today but only a few.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 24/09/2021 22:00

@Puffinhead I never even thought to pay by PayPal :(

psuedocream3 · 24/09/2021 22:03

@PattyPan 15% off and free delivery code AU390

TheGirlWhoLived · 24/09/2021 22:12

@Minionbums just asked my husband as he works in Bromsgrove… blasé just said “yeah that’s the brother of xx sells loads of stuff, cookery books, autobiographies, kids ones”

I am gobsmacked and have given him a list as long as my arm!

clpsmum · 24/09/2021 22:19

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile no probs hope you're all happy with them when they arrive. If you pay by bank transfer you get a further 5% off

IggyAce · 24/09/2021 22:38

Not been shopping to the metro centre for ages and it was slightly depressing to see the large numbers of empty shops. For anyone local they had plenty of light up Halloween houses and the tea ones. They also had a musical Percy pig tin but no hot chocolate bombs there was a gap on the shelf for them.
For a large Primark they had a disappointing selection of stock and no Snuddies.

BeaLola · 24/09/2021 22:48

@PattyPan

The White Company... do they ever do discount codes? Thinking of getting a Christmassy candle for MIL. I've got the free delivery from signing up to the newsletter but £20 still seems like a lot for a candle to me!
They usually do a 20% off event before Christmas . Also search for their VIP customer code which gives 15% off and free delivery I think
happytobemrsg · 24/09/2021 23:00

Thinking about a birthday gift for my friend - a nice jewellery box maybe? I like the look of stackers but the mini one is £35 plus delivery so it’s over my budget. Any ideas?

Ooh I’d like gift wrap too ideally as I usually get it delivered straight to her to go under the tree 🌲

RevolvingPivot · 24/09/2021 23:33

@BEE08

Can i ask please *@RevolvingPivot*, if the sundae sets are plastic or glass. I normally get a lift there with a friend and wondering if it's worth a visit, thank you.
I think they are plastic. I've left them in my mums boot to hide them 😂😂. I'll check ASAP.
ImNotReallyHere · 24/09/2021 23:34

First post on this thread but have lurked on here for over 10 years!

Has anyone seen any M&S discounts? Specifically looking for a discount on a cashmere jumper for DH.

Also can't remember who asked about Taylor Swift presents on thread 7 but DD14 has just announced that she would really like a necklace for £16 from Etsy that says 'reputation'. Can post a link tomorrow if interested. Presume it's song related?

Off to Matalan tomorrow in search of a giraffe.

Dreamingofwalden · 24/09/2021 23:39

@Notlongnow1totally agree. It’s outrageous using the brand name. We have a Triclimb and it is amazing. I appreciate they are expensive and they are plenty of other pikler triangles on the market but that doesn’t make it ok to steal the name - and thereby the reputation of the product and company.

Givealittlebit · 25/09/2021 00:48

Thanks for the rocket and rose reminder! T-shirt's for my two and my nephew ordered!

Newdad19 · 25/09/2021 02:54

Thanks for the 15% off code for the entertainer. Managed to get a good saving on some paw patrol stuff for DS.

Also interested in the fake football strips... just how fake do they look? Grin

IggyAce · 25/09/2021 05:09

@Justyou Dr Botanicals have up to 75% off it isn’t everything but you may find some bargains. Link

Chocolateemergency · 25/09/2021 05:45

When I go to price check with the camels the website is now in French and isn’t finding the same deals I can see, even when I select the Union Jack. Any other ideas how to fix it?!

I saw the peppa pig electronic clever car is down to £15 in Aldi atm so had a look on Amazon and it’s on offer for the same price. Does anyone know if this is actually a good deal, I’m getting rather frustrated with my phone.
