Thanks @riverhouse for the title!

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I'm soooo late to the party this year. Thank you @Reastie for one of my most favourite Christmas traditions. I have no idea what I'd do without this thread.

Couple of discount codes...
CELEBRATE20 gets 20% off full price stuff at POUNDTOY

MOVE50 gets 50% off their clearance stuff.
They had some LEGO, Marvel, Avengers, Mr Men etc stocking fillers things....
Free delivery was over £25 so if you're doing a big order it's worth buying the clearance and full price stuff separately as it won't let codes stack.

changingstages · 19/09/2021 08:31

Was doing well with Xmas shopping - DDs birthday is 2 days before too so need to be organised! But she has decided what she would like for her big present: Oculus Quest VR thing. Which is almost certainly out of our budget but if anyone has any great ideas for finding one cheaper I'd be very grateful...

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2021 08:35

What sort of price would you need it for, @changingstages?

Maharajah20 · 19/09/2021 08:37
@Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo it was at the end of the last thread. A Spode Christmas serving dish.
here
Thanks! 😊 I have some other bits of this range and they are lovely! This is a fab price!

Elphaba17 · 19/09/2021 08:45

@TinyTroubleMaker

Uno Showdown currently £4.50 on Amazon
Thank you, I managed to get one. Will be perfect for DDs stocking along with the exploding kittens bargain.

My DD is 10 this year and its definitely the hardest year to buy for so far!

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 19/09/2021 08:49

I can't remember who was after Washimals sorry, but Amazon has them discounted -Not as cheap as the other day, but these look to be much bigger sets. A quick search of "Washimals Peculiar Pets" will bring them up.

lexloofah · 19/09/2021 08:50

Some advice please oh wise ones

DD11 has asked for make up ( yes I said she doesn't need it etc but can see why she wants to try it ) I hardly ever wear it so don't browse for it that often so no idea really. Have tried searching for starter sets, teen sets but not really found much. Just looking for a few decent things in a cool/grown up looking set/bag she can easily learn to apply and have fun with in appropriate shades oh and cruelty free. Any advice from past experience gratefully received ta

VivaJen · 19/09/2021 08:54

@lexloofah you could try Aldi for eyeshadow palettes, they are cruelty free, not expensive and not bad quality

psuedocream3 · 19/09/2021 08:56

@Jfw82

With all the b&m sack wishes... did someone want a separate thread for who wants what? Can't remember if we did that last year - I'm not after them but was in my local store today and they had quite a lot (including an S or maybe I imagined someone wanted that one) I'm happy to pop back and look/post as needed
I'm sure I saw the thread yesterday, but it has disappeared again.

I am after an A B C E and S red initial stockings, they must be very popular as they seem to be so hard to find!

MrsPToBe123 · 19/09/2021 08:56

@lexloofah something like morphe make up might be good? They do things like artistry palettes for eyeshadow for £12 (they have a minis under £15) section. If you are a first time customer a pop up appears to save 20% (presuming you have to sign up to something).

Sorry not sure about the cruelty free element of it thought. Another tip may be benefit as they also sell minis in boots and I think they may be 3 for 2?

Hi, I’ve lurked on these threads for years but decided to brave joining in! I’m new to the world of Nintendo Switch but it’s games for their switch my children want this year. Do places ever discount them or do they tend to be excluded from any offers and discounts? x

psuedocream3 · 19/09/2021 09:00

@lexloofah revolution beauty seems to be a good bet, they often have their sets and individual palletes half price or less and very cheap but good enough quality for beginners. I can send you an NHS 20% off discount code if you need one too.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 19/09/2021 09:00

@lexloofah, not make up itself but I managed to get a nice little brush set from Claire’s last night that was £2.50 reduced for £14. Nice stocking filler.
here

passremarkable · 19/09/2021 09:02

I meant to say, this POUNDTOY discounts stack with a referral code. I posted one on REFERRALTHREAD just in case anyone doing first order.

changingstages · 19/09/2021 09:03

@NoWordForFluffy

What sort of price would you need it for, *@changingstages*?
They seem to be £300-ish and I don't think we could go much over £220... I have no idea if that's achievable or if I should tell her it's not going to be possible. She understands it's expensive so she might not get it but if we can I will, can rope in grandparents to make it a joint present.
NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2021 09:09

The Very new customer deal may be helpful, if you don't already have an account. It used to be £50, but it's £35 now. You could then spread the cost too (if you recall wanted to buy it for her and it made it easier).

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 19/09/2021 09:11

Thanks for the Uno tip! Bought one for DD and one for the present drawer!

Can someone please tell me how to do short links? I read Reastie's helpful first post but I think it's turned the info into an actual link.

Not sure but Aldi are doing a pokemon controller which looks good if they're into it, £25
Sallylovesdaisy · 19/09/2021 09:14

@lifelongfrugaleer I can't find anything about gonk bags, can you steer me in the right direction please

DollyPartBaked · 19/09/2021 09:19

Does anyone have a yoto code please?

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2021 09:20

@LyraSilvertongueBelacqua, it's LINK DESCRIPTION

Thanks for the Uno tip! Smile

YesIcan3 · 19/09/2021 09:28

@Kiteflying21 for switch games I tend to just buy from amazon, before I but I always have a quick Google to see if cheaper else where but amazon always seem fine. There's quite a few at the moment for less then £20 depending on what there into. unicorn switch game £12 amazon
