Thanks @riverhouse for the title!

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@Getoutofbed25 I got lovely reusable tote bags to use instead of gift bags at primark there were some for £1 but mostly £1.50

clpsmum · 18/09/2021 19:38

@NoWordForFluffy did you do the add his name to the wing gift from the last thread?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 18/09/2021 19:38

@wisestisshe on the last thread you said about your dd missing not having a bath, how about one of those collapsible or inflatable ones? I'm not sure what they are like or how much they are but seen them advertised a few times!

A PP got me looking at Minion Lego - this plane set is down to £20.80 on Amazon:

www.amazon.co.uk/LEGO-75547-tbd-PT-IP-2-2-Building-Set/dp/B07X8Q6TPG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1FLEKAMTYFH96&dchild=1&keywords=minion+lego&qid=1631990183&sprefix=minion+lego&sr=8-3

For resuable bags, I can recommend here:

www.jumblebee.co.uk/hertsandcrafts

Decent sizes, good quality, not expensive, all profits go to charity.

They also have reusable crackers, and various tree decorations.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2021 19:47

@clpsmum, no. I did it in 2017. I think it was the first batch they did.

PinkDaydreams · 18/09/2021 19:52

Reposting from the last thread The Bike Club offer a monthly subscription service for premium bikes and scooters.

Micro scooters from £4 per month

Balance bikes from £4.50

Bike brands include, Frog, Squish, Forme, Isla bikes and Strider and vary in price depending on size and brand but start from around £10.50 for two wheelers (affiliate link above but highly recommend either way)

Trytowin20 · 18/09/2021 20:20

Managed to sneak to b and m sorry I got it wrong it's printed not embroidered but this is a good one if you can't find an initial or one not made like X,y,z etc. Couldn't take a pic last time as daughter was with me!

Trytowin20 · 18/09/2021 20:21

You could always get the name embroidered on or a nice tag for the sack

Namechangesagain · 18/09/2021 20:21

@Getoutofbed25 zsl have some lovely totebags online, some of them have been made from plastic bottles

Does anyone know if the John Lewis Lego discount is still active and if so what the codes are please. Thank you

EverybodyKeepCool · 18/09/2021 20:26

@agedmother it came up on Facebook and when I clicked the link it was on there.

Junobug · 18/09/2021 20:28

@Bootsornot I think the micro brand is great and agree that you need to spend as much as you can afford, even if it's second hand but I think 5 and 7 year olds are old enough for 2 wheel scooters. By 6, my son refused to ride a 3 wheel. I emailed skatehut and took their advice. My daughter had a JDbug at about 5 which was good for the money.

BunnyBerries · 18/09/2021 20:29

@NoWordForFluffy
Woooow. That cross stitch is amazing!
We went to the RIAT in 2015 just to witness one of the Avro Vulcan's last flights. It was an amazing experience

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2021 20:33

We have an airshow here (when there isn't a pandemic), so I've seen it a couple of times. The photo I paired with DH's wing name certificate is from our airshow.

Beautiful, beautiful plane! ❤️

Junobug · 18/09/2021 20:37

Oh, and the talk about wrapping stocking presents. A few years ago someone advised wrapping in tissue paper. Each child has a different colour so it's easy to know whose is whose. On Christmas morning, even the baby can open their own presents whilst I have coffee and wake up (as it's about 4am).
