Hi lovely bargaineers! Hoping for some recommendations please - DS(6) would love a superhero house of some description, but I have a huge aversion to the rubbish flimsy plastic most seem to be built of (and also to paying stupid money for one!) any recommendations for a decently built but not overpriced superhero house/HQ thing please?

Can I ask for advice about the Switch and Switch lite? I know nothing about computer games… do these get routinely discounted on events like Black Friday? Which is the best one and where best to buy it from…?

The Switches don't seem to discounted often, but sometimes are sold in a bundle with a game which makes the overall price a bit less.

The Switch is being sold for £259 on Amazon (usual price £279) in the run up to the release of the Switch OLED in October.

The Switch lite is cheaper but not good for shared games.

I can't remember the posters who were thinking of getting sewing machines for their children, but the Aldi near me has had some sewing kits reduced to £1.49 cushion cover, tote bag, skirt, scrunchies etc my children 9&6 have had a go at using them and have made some lovely items. The kits have all the material plus the pattern and instructions. Would make a fab gift to go alongside.

Just ordered the Mario Kart Carrera race track (like scaletrix). It doesn't show up as reduced, but it definitely is. It's £55-60 everywhere else.

These pens are £1.50 again. I bought some a few threads ago when suggested by others and they’re fab stocking fillers! You have to order at least 2 when purchasing

Lego have an Avengers HQ or given his age I’d go for imagintex ds is now 11 but at a similar age he had a Batman play set from them and we still have it all be it stored away.

@oatmilkisntsobad I think you may be able to get an Uber eats voucher.
My dcs are now tween & teen so I’ve decided to keep some items the same from now on so hopefully I don’t struggle too much when they are older.
