Thanks @riverhouse for the title!

@noodledoodler oh my god! Thanks so much. What a deal. I have been admiring hype rucksacks and the lovely designs at my daughter's new school and have just got 3 full size kids rucksacks and a drawstring bag all for really nice Christmas gifts for £38 delivered!!!

IamChipmunk · 21/09/2021 21:03

The Entertainer have hot wheels colour reveal cars, in a 2 pack with 20% off. Normally £10.99. You can also get an extra 15% off that with the code extra15

@VolcanicProtectorMan

Has anyone seen the bags of Choc and cinnamon tortillas or gingerbread pretzels in M&S yet (pics attached - I hope)? I want some Colin stirrers and one of the tins too but I haven’t seen anyone mention these other things!
Saw (and bought) the tortilla rolls at the weekend but didn't notice the pretzels (was trying to be good though so may have been there!)

@IamChipmunk has the gymnast barbie arrived yet? Am interested in that one too for my little one.

IamChipmunk · 21/09/2021 21:15

@user1019273703 yes! Arrived today safe and sound. She has loads of accessories and box is big.
I got her from toydip.com for £24.99 but might be worth checking B&M if you can as another poster has seen her instore for £22.99.
I also got the helicopter to get free postage!

@Mumto3thatsme we bought these kids sized weighted blankets last year and they've worked well, particularly for our DS with ASD and major bedtime anxiety.

Thomas & Friends Engine Ride-On is £26.89 plus £2.99 delivery at Toy Street. The price elsewhere seems to average at about £35.
www.toystreet.co.uk/shop/outdoor/thomas-friends-engine-ride-on/
There are other deals on there as well, but the website is a bit difficult to navigate!

@spudsuliked ooh thanks! That’s good to hear, I may try and go to a fairly big M&S tomorrow then. They look so good!

Elphaba17 · 21/09/2021 21:38

Re. Weighted blankets - Tesco have silent night kids weighted blankets for £24 clubcard price.

CantStandMeow · 21/09/2021 21:40

Can I ask a really dull question please? What are people doing about buying things early that might be out of their returns date by Christmas? For example DD wants an Instax mini, I saw it with 20% off, great. But can't help worrying if it doesn't work I'll have no way of exchanging. (Had to return a gift only yesterday for DMs birthday which made me think!)

sittingonacornflake · 21/09/2021 21:42

@CantStandMeow I'm going to open / test everything when it's delivered.

PeachTea1 · 21/09/2021 21:49

@Lolly34h

Re Snack Surprise, my box is yet to arrive.
Despite them saying it’s dispatched around the 28th of the previous month my other boxes have arrived around the 20th. I’ve not even bothered chasing this month, they’re rubbish at responding to emails and by the time they’ve responded the boxes have arrived.
Hopefully it’s worth the wait!

NoWordForFluffy · 21/09/2021 21:50

@CantStandMeow, anything which breaks in the first 6 months is deemed to have that fault when you purchased it. While you can't outright reject after 30 days (you have to give the supplier the chance to repair / replace), you do still have statutory rights in place.

In other musings, hopefully Sainsbury's won't cancel the toy sale, given Tesco is still having theirs. Can't see them wanting to miss out.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 21/09/2021 21:52

What's everyone's opinion on Polaroid type cameras? Is there a leading brand or are they all much the same?

lexloofah · 21/09/2021 21:57

Thanks @RainbowPhilosophy and other boots, sleek posters

@cymrumam that hot choc shaker posted on one of the early threads was also for milkshakes I think, maybe get some reusable straws to go in the hamper and a can of squirty cream

Those beanies shakes look lovely

@Mumto3thatsme

I think I remember weighted blankets being recommended last year, what are views on them now? Worth trying for a four year old who loves to climb in with mum after only an hour in her own bed? Any recommendations where to buy from?
I bought one for my 5 year old hoping it would help him stay in his own bed - didn't work unfortunately Sad
ElephantandGrasshopper · 21/09/2021 22:16

I am looking for recommendations and / or bargain remote control car for a 5 year old. Last Xmas someone gave him a stunt one which he loved but unfortunately broke. It was small enough to easily fit into my bag for trips to the park too. Has anyone seen anything similar? Thanks

clpsmum · 21/09/2021 22:22

@noodledoodler thank you so much for the hype code

The Sodastream site seems the best one at the moment which has the Spirit starter pack on a deal. I really want a different colour other than black so I’ve been hunting for deals too….. I’m planning to hold out until closer to Black Friday as I’m hoping there are some better deals then sodastream.co.uk/products/spirit
