Sorry if this has been posted but the Works had a good sale in store to make room for Christmas stock. Will probably vary between shops but ours had:

Box set of 8 The Tail of Emily Windsnap books for £2.50
Large sew your own unicorn cushions £1 from £4
Glow in the dark car track £4 from £15
Set of 10 Christmas books £1

The tiger one looks thiner than the others online. I may need to pop in and see them in person. Going to get one for myself and probably end up choosing a couple for gifts also.

Thanks for the popcorn sauce @WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks I've had this before, and it's good!
@WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks and @MahMahMahMahCorona have you seen the recipe on how Joe and Steph use this sauce? (I'll try and find it, if you've not seen it) They explain how to use the sauce, like they do. It involves oven baking the popcorn.

@NigelSlatersXmasTaters thanks for the Lottery info. I'll keep an eye out Smile

Not sure if this has been mentioned but the hot chocolate shakers that have been popular can be discounted using the code SHAKER. Takes it from £29.95 to £22.49

Lovemusic33 · 13/09/2021 17:42

I went for the rainbow, hopefully dd1 won't think ots too pink 🤣, I have the tie dye one and love it. Im wondering if I should buy dd2 one but she's one of those kids that never feels the cold, never wears a coat and isn't in to fluffy things 🤔. I seem to be finding more things for dd1 this year than dd2.

BadgerFace · 13/09/2021 17:44

The Smiggle Advent calendar is down from £30 to £25 today. I got drawn in by a very rare trip to a real shop. It’s huge! It is on sale online as well.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 13/09/2021 17:48

@AnotherOne4 oooh yes please to the popcorn sauce tip.
I expect @MahMahMahMahCorona might appreciate it too as she's accidentally ordered 4 jars Grin

Or its £5, you scratch the first one off then come back 20 minutes later and do the rest 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/09/2021 18:13

I’ve just had great cust services from hype. Ordered the wrong sizes and they cancelled my order straight away on request
I wouldn’t so the lucky dip again as we got loads ds wouldn’t wear.

DumplingsAndStew · 13/09/2021 18:19

@PinkDaydreams

It was you who was looking for ice cream toys wasn't it?

I saw this in my local Morrisons earlier and thought I'd let you know. £25

Landsend have 50%off full price until midnight. They do nice sheepskin slippers and things. I haven't checked whether they have their stockings in yet.

PoirotAndHisMoustache · 13/09/2021 18:29

I went to Asda quite late today, but managed to get the last balance bike off the shelf. Yay!

SpamIAm · 13/09/2021 18:32

Ah I'm gutted I missed the Lego ice cream truck! I had it in my basket and everything but I've just had such a manic day.

Did pop in to Asda after school though to pick up one of the £25 Legos 👍 (ice cream truck was £15...)

@PinkDaydreams my 4 year old loves the leap frog ice cream cart if that's the one you meant (although impossible to say if that's just because she likes taking toys off her little brother..)

AnotherOne4 · 13/09/2021 18:33

@WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks and @MahMahMahMahCorona Popcorn Recipe for the sauce! Smile

Thank you for thinking of me!!

That's what I love about this thread, everyone is so kind and positive.

PinkDaydreams · 13/09/2021 18:43

@SpamIAm I've been toying with the idea of the leap frog cart but it's too big, our house is only small. Last year I was desperate to get him a play kitchen but again our house is not big enough so couldn't get him one. Luckily nursery have one that he can play with there and he gladly empties the kitchen cupboards of tins and pans at home! 😂

HungryHippo11 · 13/09/2021 18:47

@SpamIAm
Keep an eye out because often those offers come back again. I'm looking at it for my nephew. Trying to cut down this year so bargains are a must.

Thisisbatshit · 13/09/2021 18:53

I give up!! Sorry for the link fails
