Can I ask what the difference is between the two cinnamon buns please?

The top one has nicer packaging and foil baking trays. It’s easier to clean up as a result but also more if a “gift “

The bottom one is like the baking kits you would get in the supermarket. They both have the same ingredients though.

DollyPartBaked · 09/09/2021 08:50

I also (thanks to the messages up thread) finally decided to go for buns only to be disappointed that they are back up to £12!

Less dithering, more buns!

SSB has lovely raspberry coloured hoodies (adults and kids sizes) for only £7 in their sale, as well as lots of tshirts from £4 and leotards etc. Smart Strong Beautiful is a small Scottish company (so great if you're trying to avoid Amazon etc) that does loads of gymnastic, dance and active wear. My SIL swears by the hoodies (great quality and was well etc) for working from home) . Code welcome21 gets another 15% off to!

Sorry I know it's annoying, but could someone point me to the Biscuiteer discount again, I tried doing a search but its seems to be finding all the mentions of the word biscuit which turns up A LOT even when I reduce the date parameters to the last week.

Do you know what the adult sizes are like? Can't find a size chart on their website. Thanks
BuffyFairy · 09/09/2021 09:17

£5 off £25 spend in Lidl with voucher in today’s Metro.

Thanks to the PP who posted about the Earth Shattering Events book, it’s excellent. Still £5.79 on Amazon Events!: The Science Behind Natural Disasters [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1908714700/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_VPVGSNZEKS3MV6XFQ9GB?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21 book]]

DillieDoily · 09/09/2021 09:20

@SharonMack17 apparently the hoodies are pretty generously sized so a large is quite baggy on my SIL who is a size 14

DillieDoily · 09/09/2021 09:36

@SharonMack17 the sizing is pretty generous apparently - my SIL is a size 14 and the AL hoodies are pretty baggy on her so she has AM and AL depending on how fitted she wants it to be

Carrie76 · 09/09/2021 09:39

@Summerbreeze4 these are the ones my kids have, keeps cold for ages bottle

superstar84 · 09/09/2021 09:42

Does anyone have any recommendations for toy advent calendars for a 2 year old please?

She had the happyland one last year which was fab.
Her brother had a playmobil 123 one when little which was also fab so I was planning to get another, but they all seem to be full of pieces that we already have.
DS also had a toot toot drivers one when he was little which I wouldn't recommend as it was mostly road signs or random tyres.
Since then he's had various playmobil ones which again are great and he's asked for a lego one this year.

I'm stuck for DD2 though. She's past the stage of deliberately putting toys in her mouth but will still do so occasionally while distracted, such as sat watching TV. Everything I've seen so far seems to have at least some days that I'd have to take off her or a lot of bits that we already have.

She's big on animals and general christmassy stuff. Thanks to DS, she's been asking every morning for the last few weeks if we can go see santa today Grin

Shootingstar2018 · 09/09/2021 10:05

Perhaps not very Christmasy but thought this sprinkle and splash play mat was a good deal for next spring/summer. Down to £6.99. Checked on CCC and it's the cheapest price it's been at on Amazon.

Ahhh missed the cold towels offer. Have put it in Camel camel, but if you see it back again would appreciate a tag. Thanks.

Wildlynx · 09/09/2021 10:42

@Grrrpredictivetex it's still on I think if you mean BOGOF on cold towels www.amazon.co.uk/promotion/psp/AMTYV3YHC3PMU?ref=cxcw_psp_AMTYV3YHC3PMU&redirectAsin=B08BJ1246D&redirectMerchantId=A369L07S2GKLW3&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Schleich do a farm one or there's a Peppa Pig toy calendar.
brightwhite · 09/09/2021 10:50

@Shootingstar2018 thank you- just purchased this!

Limeavocado · 09/09/2021 10:57

@CatOfTheLand

Mine always loved the WOW toys calendars - they’re cute toys and so robust (toys for longevity rather than disposable) - I know Amazon have them if you search WOW toys calendar but I’m sure other places stock them too if you’re not a fan of Amazon.

Although my youngest is 8 years we still have all her WOW toys (and her older sister’s) for outdoor paddling pool play - not to be brought out when she wants to look cool in front of her friends Grin but I wanted to emphasise the quality/hardiness.

fourquenelles · 09/09/2021 11:00

Just back from M&S with each flavour of gin snow globe, light up biscuit and tea bag tins, Stag shortbread biscuit tin, Sloe fizz and a quince preserve with a use by date of August next year. No more FOMO for me if I don't eat the contents before Halloween

Tinysnickers · 09/09/2021 11:14

@changingagain Beaubaba do an advent calendar of Lanka Kade, including christmas figures. Not sure they have them up on the site yet, they'll probably come. Uo soon. But they are not packaged as an actual calendar, but as 24 little numbered packages with one to open each day.

That was me. BIRTHDAYBASH9 gives £9 off a £30 order.
