Thanks fluffy. On the train to Bath for a day of sightseeing on the Hop On and Off Bus :)

WreckTangled · 28/08/2021 08:20

Morning 🥱 I just got back from the gym. Dh is working today. Tomorrow we're going to Victorious festival so need to get ready for that. Just a day ticket but staying at friends tonight as they live closer.

I love Bath, have fun!

NerosFiddle · 28/08/2021 08:32

Morning.

Most enjoy Bath. I've never been but it looks beautiful. I just see it as being stuck in the regency period.

Wreck enjoy victorious!

Fluffy are you glad to be back?

We're going to a history park today. I'm looking forward to it, but dc, not so much

NoWordForFluffy · 28/08/2021 08:37

I've been to Bath, many years ago, with mum. I don't remember much really!

I'm so glad to be back. It's nice going away, but it's all so much effort. I'm bored of grubby houses too.

Enjoy your festival, Wreck!

Morning.
DH felt a bit off overnight, so I went into the spare room one of us needs some sleep to discover that NDN at the back has indeed repaired changed the fecking bulb in his security light... Then another annoying prick started talking loudly on his mobile in his back garden - obviously pissed and trying not to wake "the wife" apparently.
So one way or another, there is v little of my rope left to be reached iyswim. 🤬
Also, I didn't get my "first in the queue for Sains on a Saturday" run as I didn't want to leave DH (we don't need much shopping, but it's lovely and quiet and they tend to play 80s music Grin and I sing along under my mask Blush)
And there was some cat sick to clean up.😿

NoWordForFluffy · 28/08/2021 09:15

Bloody hell, Puss. Do you want me to come and rescue you?! Can't promise it's restful here mind you.

I'm walking into town. Blessed break from the kids!

Morning!

It's a bank holiday weekend Yay!!
It's a bank holiday weekend and the weather is looking dire Boo!!

DH has taken DD swimming and I am enjoying a coffee in absolute silence. 🤫

peachgreen · 28/08/2021 10:02

Morning all! Misty but beautiful morning here in NI . Just me and DD today so we're going to wander into the village to get an ice cream and then do the food shopping. Thrilling stuff! We're moving house soon so I might also have a wander around the home section and pick up a few bits and pieces that I don't need. Grin

@pussycatlickinglollyices what a morning! Hope it improves from here on in.

I love Bath but haven't been in many years. Thought about moving there briefly but couldn't bear to leave London. And then the winds of fate blew me to NI! I have to say, it would be very hard to leave this view now...

lachy blue skies with not a single cloud just the odd con trail I've just had a coffee outside and it's lovely (also fairly quiet, so it's only going one way from here⬇)
fluffy not at the mo, but I'll let you know. Grin
peach that truly is a stunning view. ❤

peachgreen · 28/08/2021 11:04

Normally not quite so misty but it's gorgeous either way! It's cleared up a bit now and DD is on her scooter while I have a coffee.

NoWordForFluffy · 28/08/2021 11:12

It's gorgeous here too!

Your view is breathtaking, peach. 😍

I needed rescuing from town as I bought too much to drag home, despite having my wheelie trolley!

Can I join?

Love all things Christmas and all things Strictly.

Bath has the very best fudge shop in the universe. The vanilla fudge is to die for.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/08/2021 12:10

My DC are mooching about like something out of the Zombie Apocalypse after their Covid Vaccines , seriously lurching about dragging their arms ! Actually that's 100% normal for them except the arm dragging !

Our Sainsbury order arrived (DH books it early so I get up early to help . I don't mind and I'm glad that I'm awake and not pissing the day away )

I got an NHS goodybox from work (sweeties , vegetarian friendly ) badge , notebook , various bits .
I must admit I do prefer the sweets to The Clap Xmas Blush

gorgeous view peach are you right by the beach ?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/08/2021 12:12

Hello everyone! My people! December is my most favourite month of the year, we all love it. But last year I spent it in hospital (was in for 9 months) and only saw DW and DS for half an hour on the day Sad SO this year I want to make it extra special for us all. DS is 11 now so outgrown most of our traditions but I am firmly settling myself into these threads if that's ok.

Wow MeredithMae your Christmas will definitely need to be mahoosive!
BaconAndAvocado · 28/08/2021 14:52

70 it's (strangely) called the San Francisco Fudge Factory and they deliver 😍

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 28/08/2021 17:26

I would offer to rescue you puss but I am at work and you really don't want to be here. (I don't want to be here, it is bats just for a change) 🤣 I am thinking beach/retirement/retirement to a beach.

NoWordForFluffy · 28/08/2021 17:36

Woah, Meredith, 9 months?! How are you now? I hope you're fully-recovered. Flowers

Hi, Bacon! (I ❤️❤️ bacon!!)

I went to the allotment and fed the birds, as well as picked some raspberries. I only got 320g (first harvest of the autumn ones), but in a couple of weeks there should be loads! They were made into jam within 2 hours of being picked (would've been quicker had I not ventured to Aldi on my way back). Only 2 jars, but lots more to come (however, no more than 2kg of fruit can be jammed as I bought the last 2 bags of jam sugar in Sainsbury's earlier! 🤣).

I've read my Good Food Christmas magazine and DD has chosen the things she wants me to make!

I have ordered DS's 'big' present today (fancy headphones) and also some merch from a US tech website he frequents. The shipping cost $20 and I am expecting to get whacked with another £20 of customs charges when it gets here regardless Xmas Hmm Starting to get properly excited now! Star

peachgreen · 28/08/2021 21:09

Yes @70isaLimitNotaTarget although it's not my house - I'm lodging with friends and renting my own house out for now. They have a granny annexe which we call the widow wing!

peachgreen · 28/08/2021 21:11

I've got DD sorted for her bigger presents I think - I've got her a Yoto Player which she'll love, as well as a toolkit with a drill. So that's a start! She's the easiest to buy for though!

RainbowZebraWarrior · 28/08/2021 22:35

Hi all. Long time poster, but name changed recently. Where's Mrsmadevans? Hope she's ok. Haven't seen her post in a while.

NoWordForFluffy · 28/08/2021 23:03

What's your previous name, Rainbow?

Maybe do an advanced search on MrsMad as I think she's about, just not here. 🤷‍♀️

Sitting having a few quiet minutes to myself after the rest of the house has gone to bed. I've seen most of my siblings today for the first time in nearly two years and I'm feeling a worn out and just a little emotional. However, the day was brilliant and DD2's much delayed 21st birthday has been well and truly celebrated.
